Fall Foliage Tour is to explore fall foliage in the Hudson Valley nature’s treasures. Our journey begins in earnest on the Palisades Parkway, skirting the 550-foot-high Palisades along the Hudson River. Travel through luxuriant foliage suddenly awash in yellows, oranges, and reds. Take a break at the Lookout Inn, the highest point along the Palisades. Since 1937, this refreshment stand has greeted visitors with spectacular views across Westchester County to Long Island Sound. Our trek continues past Bear Mountain, once site of the premier ski jump in the U.S. Then, we skirt past the Bear Mountain Bridge, the first bridge across the Hudson between New York and Albany. Just past the site of the Revolutionary War Battle of Fort Montgomery, we head into West Point. A stream along a hiking trail used more by the locals in the vicinity of the great Smoky Mountain National Park than by the tourists. It was a sane alternative recommended by my friend Steve, and I did some of my best photography of the trip there--away from the more popular and hyped destinations.
Beautiful Fall Foliage in Baker County Oregon
Enjoyed a beautiful fall day exploring Fall colors in Baker County along the Elkhorn Scenic Byway and backroads surrounding Baker City, as well as Baker City's historic neighborhoods and downtown.
The Elkhorn Scenic Byway is one of three Oregon scenic byways that connect in Baker County and is a spectacular scenic loop passing through the historic towns of Haines, Granite, Sumpter and Baker City as it meanders through the majestic Elkhorn Mountain range. Fall is a beautiful time to explore the byway with the Tamarack's turning and spectacular fall color at every turn.
Baker City's historic architecture always make for a beautiful backdrop for fall colors and the Powder River as it winds through town is always one of our favorite outings for fall colors

This is probably Connecticut -- We hardly ever travel south in October as that is the prettiest month in New Hampshire (home)
A cell phone pic, cropped and balanced in Lightroom... The one pasture left near Annapolis that hasn't gone all color yet. Strange, most of the places I saw two weeks ago are stripped bare now. This one looked cool though...
