This is the fifth 2018 Fall Foliage Report for New York State.
In Niagara County, Niagara Falls spotters expect leaves to be at the midpoint of change this weekend with 25 percent color transition and bright shades of red, orange, and yellow leaves.
The white tree branches in the distance are the white limbs of the Sycamore tree. It grows in river bottoms, such as this ravine in Cornwall, NY. The effect is a combination of 'oil painting' and 'watercolor' - whatever those mean to a computer program.
