My favorite thing about New England.

A patch of fall color. Most of the color is just so-so, but here and there it is pretty good.

kept my camera under my vest to keep it dry which fogged the lens

ithaca, heading to dryden, near cornell plantations.

Arrived at Chocorua pretty late in the evening, right in time to see the setting sun setting the foliage on fire with bright reds and Oranges ..

the polarizer .. for the first time, showed what it could do with my point and shoot .. making the sky blue, eliminating reflection from the leaves and water.
