Dropped by a favorite little spot to capture some ducks and fall reflections in the water...mission accomplished!!
:o))
Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do :o))
I feel especially lucky to have gotten this shot. So many trees have either not changed colour yet or have lost all their leaves already to due our overly warm summer and fall (so far).
HAPPY FALL 2017!!! It's the first day of fall and the color changes are coming. This image is a compilation of a couple of shots last fall. Not that colorful here yet.
In fact it is in the 90's again today! Yikes. With the lack of rainfall I fear our autumn may not be at it's best but I still can't wait for those fall colors!
Oasi Zegna, Alpi italiane - Autunno 2018
On the Italian Alps in Piedmont the Zegna Oasis offers the ideal botanical variety to express fall in its splendor of yellows, oranges, reds, browns, plums and violets.

I came up with the idea for this photo while feeding our seven-week-old baby a bottle in the driver's seat of the Yaris after the two of us had just finished a hike. I saw the ferns on the edge of the woods and at the edge of the light and thought it might work out well. After she finished the bottle, I gave it a shot. It's one of the few photos you will see from me this fall that was taken without a baby strapped to my chest.
It's time to bring on the fall colors! In the high country, Fall is in full swing! Earlier in the day Evelyn and I scrambled up a rocky outcrop to get a birds-eye view of the surrounding area. We saw this idyllic valley and decided to hike off-trail to explore it. It turned out to be an amazing foreground for the brilliant fall colors all around us. When dramatic light hit the trees, all I could think was "wow, this seriously can't get any better!" Fall is definitely my favorite season. Some of you have asked about prints. If you are interested, simply message me. Fall color looks so incredible when printed on metal!
This is the reflection of trees and shrubs seen in the pond below. I like how there was a little ripple in the water, making it slightly abstract. I did edit the color (white balance) to make it slightly cooler and I increased the contrast and vibrance a little to bring out all the colors. The reflection itself is untouched.

We just returned from a short trip to Minneapolis to see the fall colors. We were so lucky. We had the Indian Summer with high temperatures and blue skies, and we have seen the fall foliage at it's peak. I have "fallen" in love with Minnesota. It will probably take me hours, or days to go through my photo's.
On a Hike at Wilkerson Nature Preserve with Mr. Truck. I really love this picture especially how all the leaves are on the ground around Trucky and the tree in the back is almost bare but still full enough to get the effects of fall. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

A couple of rainy dark days had me looking in our yard for some of the last bits of fall foliage to bring inside and place in natural window light in front of a black cloth backdrop - I'm a sucker for dramatic backlighting!
Fall has arrived in the forests in the Netherlands. Time for mushrooms, beautiful colors and falling leaves. These mushrooms were found on a dead trunk in the forest of Amerongen.
Fall foliage lit up by the rising sun as seen from a viewpoint on Brockway Mountain Drive near Copper Harbor n the Keweenaw Peninsula. The northernmost part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Falling desire
"In bleak dusty days...or in the pure stillness of dark blue nights...days when I am numb with cold and pain, or warm blinding days when I am circling above the sun...there is a joy - from ages long lost in time - that seeps into me at the thought of you."

'The falling leaves drift by my window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hand I used to hold..."
