It's been so mild this month that the blossom trees have sprung into bloom again. I took this a week ago, but the tree is still in flower. I wonder what triggers it? Day length? Lack of leaves?

Pieces of brick started falling down from this entrance gate of Marsala. The fire brigade was there to prevent severe risks.

Hope your day is going well? I’ve had this shot in my minds eye for a while now. The big dilemma was should I wait for the sun to come high enough and shoot the light on the trees and loose the city glow completely or should I shoot at sunset and have the mix of the artificial and natural light blended in. I personally loved the idea of having the sunset light mix. What do you think?
Saturday I made my way about 8-9 miles over the mountain from Middlesboro, Ky. to Chenoa Lake in Chenoa Ky. I'd never been there, so I thought I'd see how the foliage was in that area.
While the color was a bit better than it had been here in southwestern Virginia, it still wasn't quite peaking yet. The small lake, however, had a bit of morning fog upon it. While there, these three gentlemen launched their boat and began fishing .
Besides the autumn poets sing,
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the haze.

This time when I looked up I saw Maple, Oak and Birch leaves.
Most of the Maple leaves have already fallen. It won't be long now and they will all be gone. Then what will I take pictures of ?? : (
