"Feeling safe in someone's energy is a different type of intimacy. That feeling of peace and protection is really underrated"

Did it take long to find me?
I ask the faithful light
Oh, did it take long to find me?
And, are you gonna stay the night?

Still hauling passengers as Electro-Motive Division intended, a trio of Burlington Northern E9 “E units” line up on commuter trains in Hill Yard at Aurora, Illinois, on April 16, 1988. At the time, they were as common as a SD40-2 powered freight train on BN’s triple-track, but now…

Please accept my apologies in advance for my slow response to your comments and faves! For no apparent reason all Flickr Activity and Notification emails have ceased… Attempts by Flickr to resolve this issue have so far been unsuccessful. The work-arounds are a little clumsy and slow…
“Here is why I will be a good person. Because I listen. I cannot speak so I listen very well. I never interrupt, I never deflect the course of the conversation with a comment of my own.
...I beg of you, pretend you are a dog like me and LISTEN to other people rather than steal their stories.”

FROM WIKIPEDIA:
Yellowstone National Park is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho.
It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone, widely held to be the first national park in the world, is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park.
It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests ecoregion.
Cute old dog spotted in the small town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, capital of the Camargue in the south of France. I couldn't resist a little B&W processing through Silverefex. I love how her spots seem to blend right in with the old stone doorstep she's sitting on. Happy Sliders Sunday :-)
Original photo taken in a large grocery store which had a plant department. I converted it to a digital painting.
Klar, es ist nur eine Fliege. Aber irgendwie fand ich sie doch interessant.

"If you talk to the animals, they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them; and what you do not know, you will fear. What one fears, one destroys." —Chief Dan George
It was a few days ago when I walked with my faithful companion Roco through the forests in our area. As always, we both enjoyed nature and silence. I need it so much in these days and my friend is doing my soul so well, because he feels exactly how I am. We understand each other through gestures and eye contacts. I see so much in his eyes and he probably much more.
(Did you know that during the big tsunami catastrophe, the animals spied long before the humans, that something bad will come and therefore they were safe early on.)
Animals understand and feel more than we can imagine. This is my opinion.
Whenever I'm not feeling well, Roco handles things in a different way than when he realizes that I'm happy. I need him and he needs me. That's how it is.
I dedicate this photo to him here and his loyalty and his affection to all of us in the family. We love you Roco !!!
To the picture:
A few weeks ago a strong storm swept through our country. The many branches on the ground are the result of it. Many trees fell over or were torn apart. The forests are full of the destruction of this strong storm. Roco picked a beautiful place from where he could keep an overview. A very attentive dog and good protector !!!
