This soldier was well equipped, but failed still:
1) A nice boat parked in a good spot for shooting Red Bull flyers - 15000 eur
2) Sigma 500mm + decent tripod and head - 1200 eur
3) Shooting with 500mm tele using internal flash - Priceless...
And some very strange photoshoppage. It's the head of a bee, the wings of a fly, and... a few random other bits I can't identify. No idea why they did this--but it's on the cover of a book, and this is the movie poster.

Can you see the problem with this packaging design? Irony at its best... need one to buy one. (otherwise the design of this package is pretty, just not functionality at its best)

Don't know what happened to this pair of great horned owls. The female sat in the nest for more than a month, with no chick to show. They are no longer there.

Could've had the greatest shot if I got it, but no....LOL. Kinda disappointed that I didn't get this but, hey, sh*t happens :)
I've gotten considerably better at panning this summer, so hopefully I won't fail like this anymore in the future :P

Praise God for the opportunity to travel up north to Baguio for a short New Year's vacation (Dec. 29, 2013 - Jan. 1, 2014) . Despite having some mechanical problems with our vehicle, God's protection allowed us to arrive safely. PTL!!
A bottle of Lia Fail from The Inveralmond Brewery in Perth, Scotland, at Internasjonalen pub in Oslo.
According to the bottle this is a 4,7% abv Scottish Dark Beer. It poured a golden brown color with a fine white head. The aroma was of roasted malt, the mouthfeel was decent to be such a low-alcohol beer. The taste was dominated by the roasted malt with some sweetness, but the bitterness wins out in the aftertaste. Not a very complex beer but easy to drink.
