New road, not on the Sat Nav...
Quite amusing. I couldn't work out where we were on the map properly either!
(Oh and the Sat Nav only spoke Japanese, except for one phrase "Let's enjoy safe driving")
This is from yesterday's "self portrait improvement" session. I decided, "Hey, I should go outside and take some pictures instead of staying in!"
However, I live in a small town.
With lots of neighbors.
I'm also kind of insecure about taking pictures in front of people. Especially self-portraits and artistic ones. I don't want to be "that girl."
So, needless to say, I was just rushing to take pictures before someone saw me and thought I was being weird. As a result, the ones that I had zoomed properly to see my whole face are really grainy. And the ones that look nice don't include my head. And the ONE that's close up and looks nice is overexposed. But whatever; it's a learning experience.
Also! I curled my hair yesterday, which is kind of visible in this picture. But the humidity caused it to go flat even before I went out last night. So it was a fail all around. At least it was a fun night :)
Blehhh more successful photo session today. Wait with bated breath to see.
I tried to replace my Fashion Queen character with a replacement doll but she doesnt have the original one magic. My original one had a accident and her head was damaged beyond repair.
I found this in a Kohl's while doing some Christmas shopping....and yes, all of them were like this. xD
A sign in Compton, Surrey, advising HGV drivers not to go down a lane barely wide enough to take a truck.
Celofane picado jogado numa base. É tão irritante de usar quanto aquelas estrelinhas/coraçãozinhos que tentávamos colar na unha qdo erámos quianças.
Flocado pra mim são os das fotos ao lado, e só.
Christian Ude of the German social democratic party (SPD) is Munich’s mayor since 1993 and one of the most prominent mayors in Germany, particularly well-known for advocating municipal autonomy.
Of course, an SPD majority in the the Bavarian capital is quite a shame for the conservative Christian Social Union of Bavaria, which always had and still has the absolute majority in the Bavarian Parliament. Especially as this isn’t entirely due to Ude’s all-round cleverness but also to the fact that the local CSU chapter is quite a chaotic mob which rarely makes the headlines with anything else than intrigues and disputes.
For example, their campaign for today’s election was mainly focused on four items: building the Transrapid connection between Munich and its airport (they made another dedicated poster full of blatant lies just a few days ago just for this); introducing more severe punishments for criminal foreign youth after a series of incidents in the subway—which I am convinced was originally initiated by some CSU conspirators, and anyway they quickly abandoned this strategy when Roland Koch in Hesse lost his election after using it—; avoiding an SPD/Left coalition (which has never been even remotely probable); and of course some wish-wash about “future” and “boosting the economy”. Like ever since 1993, they tried to dethrone Ude with another faceless candidate (they have spent about four of them in their two attempts before); and of course they spectacularly failed again (with about 25 vs. 67 percent).
It seems that cyclone Emma wasn’t convinced by this campaign either. (By the way, she’s also the main reason why the sky looks really crazy here.)
Foi uma tentativa frustrante de fazer igual da JaneBar, não deu mto certo...
1º esses meus esmaltes estavam velhos e foi super difícil de passá-los;
2º não gostei das cores, tinha que ser tons pastéis pra ficar bem bonitinho;
3º as bolinhas ficaram tortas...rsrs aiiii meu Deus;
2 x Sereia - Impala
2 x Classic - Impala
2 x Pink - Impala
e no anelar:
2 x Margarida - AH + 1 x Pluma - Passe Nati
(a bolinha azul é Azul Royal - Passe Nati)
Two shots from the roll really fell flat. Some blurry potatoes & an "oh shoot, the shutter isn't closing" moment.
Trying to make a redscale batch I think the room wasn't dark enough.
Tratando de hacer un rollo redscale creo que mi habitación no estaba lo suficientemente oscura.
British postcard in the Rotary Photograpgic Series, no. 1632 A. Photo: Lizzie Caswall-Smith. Publicity still for the stage production of The Light That Failed (1903). Caption: Mr. Forbes Robertson as Dick Helder (sic), Gertrude Lawrence as Maisie, "Maisie, my Maisie".
The play The Light That Failed by George Fleming was based on the novel of the same name by-English author Rudyard Kipling, first published in 1891. Most of the novel is set in London, but many important events throughout the story occur in Sudan and Port Said. It follows the life of Dick Heldar, an artist and painter who goes blind, and his unrequited love for his childhood playmate, Maisie. The first stage production starred Johnston Forbes-Robertson, his wife Gertrude Elliott, and Sydney Valentine. It was performed in the West End from February to April 1903 and moved on to Broadway in November, making the story more famous. In 1916, it was made into a 1916 silent film by Pathé, with Robert Edeson and Jose Collins. Later followed a 1923 silent film by Famous Players-Lasky, and a 1939 film by Paramount, starring Ronald Colman as Heldar, with Muriel Angelus, Ida Lupino, and Walter Huston.
Johnston Forbes-Robertson (1853-1937) was a British actor and theatre manager. He was considered the finest Hamlet of the Victorian era, and also played Hamlet a few times on the screen.

Last night I had a dream that I couldn't find my car. I happened to find a large, round balloon, which then became my mode of transportation. I floated from place to place as I needed and enjoyed the breezes and view from above.
I wanted to illustrate how cool it was in my dream, so I went out, got some balloons, and scouted out a good location. As soon as I found the spot where I wanted to do my photo, it got cold and windy and rainy. I attempted a few shots in these conditions, but none of it was working at all, so I packed it in and went home.
