So i fail at taking firework pictures but i guess it will just take some practice. dana point harbor and san Juan's fireworks not sure which is which .
This makes me sad! Had these lying around for some years. All of this great good ol' Polaroid 600 film wasted, when I was testing a broken SX-70. I really miss this film.

I usually read a book for fifty pages and if it doesn't interest me I toss it. Many of my favorite authors have at least one book that has failed the test and so it is for James Lee Burke's "White Doves at Morning"

Software lockups and Broken belts
This fail was due to the X belt splitting mid print. It sat and continued to lay plastic down over and over on Y and Z for 10 minutes. Which was quite a bit of plastic as i was printing at 200mm/s. Solution: print slower, replace X axis motor mount with alternative design, not use a steel internal braiding belt.
Spotted this beside the Mosaic Mall near the Center Kita station. I can't read the Kanji that well but I feel this one is a fail!
Motivated by the Made by Rae Spring Top Sewalong, I decided to sew a top using the Lil Blue Boo Pieced Tunic pattern. I chose this pattern for so many reasons:
1. It's cute. The style defintely fits into my wardrobe of casual comfort. I really wanted to make something casual but a little funky...beach/island wear.
2. It seemed pretty simple to sew & I 've been wanting to sew up this top!
3. I have this obsession with upcycling fabric/clothes. I have a crazy collection of second hand clothes just waiting to be refashioned or made into other things. The LBB Pieced Tunic pattern is made for this! :) I really needed to make a dent in that stash of clothes and start sewing things. Plus, I think it's so fun to mix, match, and put together one-of-a-kind items. This pattern can yield such different looks just by the fabric and combos you choose.
4. It gave me a reason to bust out that serger of mine!
So yeah..."ta da!" here's the top I whipped up. Yay! Not too bad for my first try at this pattern. So, what was my "FAIL?" I missed the deadline for the Spring Top Sew Along by about 1 1/2 hours (I just had too much going on yesterday)...or so I thought. I threw in the towel and was comforted by the fact I had a new top for my wardrobe, started sewing on my serger, and made a sliver of a dent in my second hand clothes stash. Then, today, I read that the contest had been extended for 24 hours!!! How in the world did I miss that post? But alas, I was reading about the extension 2 hours past the extension deadline. Fail! Well, since I'm not entering this top in the contest, at least I don't have to photo myself in it! ha ha ha! Another plus!
Anyways...I'm so happy to that I was able to make this LBB Pieced Tunic. I'm so glad that Ashley over at Lil Blue Boo came out with this pattern for adults! :) As with all other LBB Patterns, the Pieced Tunic pattern includes easy to follow directions & photos, great tips for sewing with knits, and a section on ways to piece the top together. The top is very easy to assemble even for a novice like me. The part that takes the longest (but is so much fun to me) is choosing what t-shirts/fabric I want to use and figuring out how I want it piece it together. The sewing itself is quick. For this particular top I used 4 different shirts and some scraps from the green Little Woo I sewed. Pattern seems to fit true to size...what was I thinking making an XS?! ha ha ha! Next time around I will make it in a small and shorten it a tad bit. I'll be making a few more of these tops for myself! :)
The one and only CCTV camera in the area outside where I live and it's a definite fail, hasn't moved since I've been here.
Perhaps they're on the lookout for illegal aliens... ;)
So I got this handy little tool for Christmas. It did come in handy considering all of the toys that Savanah got it will be put to good use. Hell, it has already been put to good use.
The one problem I had with it is that it is a tool to open "those stubborn plastic packages." You know the type. Small electronics, dolls, and all sorts of things come packaged that way. Some are easier than others to open. This particular package, the one containing the tool to open those "stubborn plastic packages," was one of the hardest to open I've come across. It took heavy duty scissors to cut this dang thing open. You would think that a tool being advertised to open tough packages wouldn't have been packaged like this.

The 50x70cm poster "Dr.Fail" is our participation for the SEEAR Exhibition 2013 themed "Superheroes".
The brief was to create a character and visualize him through a poster.
-
The poster exhibits the origins of Dr.Fail through three basic timelines. Two of them are centered around his personal life and events, that inspired him to build machines and weird inventions, most of which failed miserably. The third timeline is focused on his relationship with Megumi, the girl who unwillingly broke his heart and transformed him to a super villain.
-
The idea behind the poster is not to show the character itself, but instead allow the viewer, through an emotional association, to visualize the character based on similar experiences. The color theme and the choise of the data circle, was inspired by the character's japanese origin, which is enhanced by the use of english and japanese languages for the legend and text of the poster.

Freightliner's 90043 is seen at Preston station on 04/06/18 having experienced problems between Wigan and Balshaw Lane. 90043 had been pulled off and was dumped in one of the RES sidings to await recovery. 90042 was sat south of the station on the 4S44/1213 intermodal which the pair had hauled from Daventry (originally destined for Coatbridge), which was cancelled en route. An 0S45 light engine move from Daventry coupled to the errant train that evening, and hauled it north to Coatbridge.
