This plushie I made on commission, but the design is my own, based on this picture from my blog:

The eyes were a bit of a challenge as I haven't made them like this before, but I think they turned out ok.

To bad I didn't capture any of the denizens of this realm.

Fairies meeting ground, Isle of Skye, Scotland

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,

For I would ride with you upon the wind,

Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,

And dance upon the mountains like a flame.

~William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894

Sigh. This place. This was a chance glimpse while taking a wrong turn. I stopped in my tracks and explored the valley and met a gardener who said that he maintains it for a golf course. The whole valley was a cosmic wonderland with flowers bobbing in the wind and the birds playing over head, going completely wild.

pretty , right ?

Im not sure Lupo was that into it.

FLOWERS SLIDESHOW

My wife were growing these in a pot and after a rain recently they really popped up. Don't know what they are, but they seem very magical.

REALLY LARGE

I felt a bit of chill as I wait for the Night Faeries toarrive in the open field of the Enchanted Forest. Thelittle glittery stars and big bright moon cast light intothe misty open field. The Night Faeries live in abig cave and have daily house tasks. They help each other in cleaning, decorating, sewing, and other crafts. They stay inside the cave to avoid sunlight because the Sun's heat burns their light pale skin.During the quiet, misty, dark night of the Enchanted Forest, the Night Faeries come out in-groups, Like a big black shadow spreading over the sky into the open field. The Night Fairies enjoy the dancing, singing, playing, giggling, and circlingaround as they fly. At the same time, they enjoy ahandful of fruit, nuts, vegetables, and bugs in theopen field. As I am writing down my observations of the

Night Faeries in my diary, I accidentally dropped my little

Flashlight. The light struck the eyes of one of the

Night Fairies called Sheekoo. This is how I came about

Creating my posture of Sheekoo as she tried to cover

The flashlight from hitting her eyes.

Wow. Karla of Karla's cottage put together lovely books of Faerie pages. Each page is wonderfully crafted.

The Peatbog Faeries play The Old Fire Station, Carlisle, Cumbria

The Peatbog Faeries are a largely instrumental Celtic fusion band. Formed in 1991, they are based in Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.

Their music embodies many styles and influences, including folk, electronica, rock and jazz, - but their main influence is traditional celtic music. The band's unique sound is created through a mix of programmed effects and traditional celtic arrangements, played on bagpipes, fiddles, and whistles.

The band have twice won "Live Band of the Year" at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards and were nominated for "Live Band of the Year" at the BBC Radio 2 folk awards.

This is a little collection of my Mums beautiful hand made one off faerie sculptures....I just had to slip them in. I did a craft stall with her at 'the 3 wishes faerie fest' last year. I just love them, they are amazing pieces of art and with beautiful spirits.

(another late photo update, i'm trawling through my photo album still!)

Realy worth viewing the large version.

I think this was just a bit of fill from the hotshoe flash.

A digital collage I made with a vintage postcard and other collage pieces from vintage postcards, along with my own art work of a full moon, which I have digitally colored and shrunk, for her party dress button/pin!
