Portrait of a crying faerie. The expression was somewhat accidental, and inspired the rest of the painting, including letting the paint flow off the canvas. This was my first faerie painting, hence the name of the piece.
The faerie's skin is an unusual shade, and she has beautiful purple wings.
Come away, O human child
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
For the world's more full of weeping
Than you can understand.
This was all my friend's idea - forest spirit beckoning the viewer to steal away and join the faerie folk, inspired by the Loreena McKennitt song quoted above. The woods in March didn't work too well (not leafed out yet!), but with a bit of editing I got the ethereal look the photo needed.

This is a little collection of my Mums beautiful hand made one off faerie sculptures....I just had to slip them in. I did a craft stall with her at 'the 3 wishes faerie fest' last year. I just love them, they are amazing pieces of art and with beautiful spirits.

There is no way these are man made steps or woman made. They're far too sturdy and have lasted way too long to have had peoples hands in making them. I say it was faeries that made them. Assisted no doubt by the elves and dwarves. The Faeries I assume were more of the management types. Making decisions and drinking dandelion tea and sending instructions down to the dwarves to build build build. The elves would have been there for health and safetly to make sure everything was build to correct enchanted regulations.
I think you'll all agree that that's fairly obvious how these were built :oD

This doll is an Anxiety Faerie. Anxiety Faeries will absorb all angst and dread from an anxious person. They come from a mythical land far, far away, where people have piles of ugly, tedious paperwork and cars with dead batteries, and bosses from Uranus. A land with things called global warming, Fukushima, and WalMart, and root canals, and Miley Cyrus . . . and where are all the bees going, anyway?

Today was the annual Festival of Steam at Chatham Dockyard, where there are always a lot of Steampunk cosplayers, amongst other things.
