The ice cream factory (Eisfabrik) in Berlin-Mitte is one of the oldest surviving ice cream factories in Germany. The operation was discontinued in 1995. Since then the site is vacant on the banks of the Spree river. Although the factory is a listed building, it is going to be demolished. Picture taken in August 2011.
