Inside the factory was pretty bare, asbestos removal was going on and all signs of its former use appear to have vanished.
Volkswagen's main factory in Wolfsburg. I took this photo from a train from Berlin to Frankfurt. This part of the factory is the power plant. It existed when I first saw Wolfsburg in 1960, whille I was in the U.S. Army and stationed only 20 km (12 miles) away. It is on the other side of the Mittellandkanal, a canal that runs from the Ruhr industrial area near the Rhine River to the Berlin area. You can see a bit of the canal at the bottom of the photo.

Inside a Fish Sticks Factory a worker is controlling the fish stick transportation system
wearefactoryfive.com/product/product-f5-stream/
The F5 Stream has performance and style integrated into every joint. Built from compact 6061 tubing it is lightweight and sturdy, ready for the track and streets.
A slight downward-sloping top tube provides an aggressive geometry for those that require a touch more potential. Coupled with a dropped rear stay, the frame is responsively tight and agile without requiring a shorter wheelbase. The F5 Stream is the fastest off the block every time and comfortable around each corner.
It’s clean. The hairline decals feature in glossy black over the matte black coating for a subtle, non-disruptive finish. The frame tells the story, highlighted by the Factory Five hallmark of accented color inside the rear stays and fork blades.
Every aspect has been considered and refined. The F5 Stream has smooth welded joints, a carbon fork and comes with an integrated headset.
Hakodate factory is an old factory site which is completely renovated (but still has the feeling of old days). All the factory storages have shops inside. When you walk there it looks like you are somewhere on the old streets of some European city.

While checking out an abandoned factory we saw a group of punks hanging out behind it. We talked to them and they gave us cold PBRs and some info about the building. It was a good day.
Textile factories like these must have been abundant in Tilburg a century ago. Now there are hardly any left, unfortunately. This one is a museum now.
This is a hundred year old sugar factory down the Mississippi. They roll the barges up, open the tops up and lower a big ol crane in and scoop it out!
