Agnes STRICKLAND (1796-1874). Educated at home, Strickland benefited from her father's belief that girls should have the same education as boys. In 1840, she embarked on the nine-volume historical work, Lives of the Queens of England. Although co-written with her sister Elizabeth, it was agreed that Agnes would appear as author on all their publications. Their pionerring research was guided by the motto, "facts not opinions". Even more amusing is that while the article states that the "Texas Trans Corridor was approved by the Texas Legislature and the governor of Texas. It is a state initiative, but it is not part of a NAFTA Superhighway, nor is it the product of a shadowy federal conspiracy."
