Two hands - two plates; two pockets - two drinks

I finally got my stitches removed this morning, so I can start running and biking again. Yay! I went running when I got home today. It felt really awkward, as if I didn't know what I was doing, but I am glad I got out there and did it. This was the official start of training for my 10K in October 12, and here I am sporting my new running mesh hat and singlet.

This was a highly productive weekend. We've created a little checklist of things to do when we get home from work and before going to bed in order to keep the house tidy on an ongoing basis instead of letting clutter pile up and having to do mass cleanings when we have company. Of course, this meant doing a mass cleaning to start with a clean slate.

This weekend we tackled the kitchen, living room, bed room and garage. We took this chance to rid ourselves of clutter and do a goodwill run, especially of clothes and shoes we never wear or that are too big (yay). I think I have 2-3 garbage bags worth of clothes waiting to be picked up by my mother or going to Goodwill. I was ruthless about it too because I am tired of hanging on to clothes (t-shirts mostly) that I'll never wear no matter what. It was so liberating and I am already thinking of more stuff I can get rid of.

Needless to say, I was exhausted last night when I took this after being up since 7:30 a.m. Up next is the bathrooms and eventually my office (aka the storage room *lol*)

Waiting for my delicious Bistro Vegetable Sandwich at Crispers. I took a picture of the sandwich, but it did not come out right.

Here is a description of the sandwich:

A salad…in a sandwich! Crisp lettuce, tomato, red pepper, red onion rings, crunchy cucumbers, fresh basil, and spinach artichoke spread followed by smooth red pepper pesto and topped with the nutty flavor of avocado on multigrain.

Get it on the Artisan roll; it is amazing!

A little advice: try things you didn't like as a child/teenaager/young adult. Who knew I liked Avocado so much. :)
