This was one of my last days at UIUC in my freshman year of college. These are some of the only digital photos I have from before I met Jess.
Hanging out with Andre, Christy, etc. There was actually a Tornado Warning, so there was a bunch of us hanging out in the basement of the dorm.
I completed my first 10K in 1:22:16.

TS Fay continues to overstay her welcome, so we had to brave the gym and run on the treadmill--NOT fun :(
Can we say animal jam? All these people were trying to see a grizzly on the far side of the valley. Even through a spotting scope he was still just a brown spot.

The town, people and environment made this stay a pleasant and enjoyable moment for us. Ohrid, famous for its extensive culture and original assets (lots of churches and renaissance art from the 13th century, first slavic university), provides the best for any history lover and nature trecker :-) Sveti Naum, a monastery now used as a hotel, is in the middle of nowhere but from there you can relax at the cristlline water beach and enjoy the beautiful view of the Ohrid lake.
We had to stay not 3 but 4 days there... and it's still not enough!
