I wanted to get this out of the way early since tonight will be busy with preparations for the trip to Mexico. We leave early tomorrow morning and will not have internet access until Sunday. I'll of course have my cameras with me and will upload all pics upon my return. Have a great week everyone!
For today's FGR: One Million Peace Signs
Who is this person? To me, this totally does not look like me.
Jason gave me this headphones that he uses when he is working with tools in the garage to cancel out the noise. Since he is not bringing his C-PAP to Mexico next week, I need to figure out some other way to cancel out his snoring so I can sleep. I think they look like the headsets people in helicopters wear--hence the title and my retarded expression.
We were listening to "This American Life" on our way home from Sweet Tomatoes, and Jason mentioned that the themes Ira Glass uses for the stories in each show would make good photo challenges. The theme tonight was Return to Childhood. Since I've already done plenty of lego shots, I thought I'd go for something a little different.
When I was younger (probably 8 or 10) living in Puerto Rico, I always wanted to speak in a foreign language. Since I didn't know any, I would speak backwards because it sounded foreign to me. To make it easier, I would write words backwards on a pad of paper and then read it out loud. When I was in college, I would write words backwards to pass the time in class and eventually learned to do it in cursive. The title of this photo is the Spanish word for backwards written backwards.
I am thinking of starting a Flickr group based on the themes from "This American Life", or maybe I'll post the weekly themes to the 365days December starters group. Anyone else interested? You can see a list of past themes here: www.thislife.org/Radio_Archive.aspx
I bought this new shirt yesterday and it is a small. Combined with the size 8 pants Mel gave me, I have a real new outfit that makes me feel great! This is better than seeing the numbers go down on the scale.

We went to the Lego store (again) today and I got this new Beach House set (which also comes with instructions to make a Cafe and Apartment Complex). I have a ton more pics to upload from this weekend, but this will have to do for now.

For today's FGR: The Thinker I wanted to recreate the sculpture out of Legos but it looks pretty difficult. So instead, my rock is a lego box to keep with my Lego Theme Week.
