These facteime photos aren't as good when Abby uses her laptop, however they are more satisfactory to sit and have a chat . . . which is what it is all about! They were drinking tea and eating chocolate biscuits.
The best thing is we have decided when we are meeting up again . . . on a Sunday at the end of the month they will come here for a meal. I didn't realise how much I was missing them, (well I did, but I try to foool myself that I'm not because I just have to get on with it) until the prospect of seeing them apears on the horizon and now what to cook, what to get in etc becomes a delight, a prospect, something to look forward to. Another good thing is that I got Abby and Elsie's advice (while Roxy was being the ballerina that she is) on what to do with my hair when I have a haircut on 18th.
Agnes: Dave, something doesn't make sense.
Dave: What's that?
Agnes: I can hear your voice and I can see you, but it looks like Julia has imprisoned you in her magic phone thing.
Dave: I'm not in the phone, I'm in the basement.
Agnes: That still doesn't make sense.
Dave: Well, we're doing FaceTime.
Agnes: Isn't FaceTime when you love someone so much you ram your face into theirs and demand attention.
Dave: Not this type of FaceTime.
Agnes: Then is it when Bruno decides he is an athlete and thinks he can wrestle so we pretend to bite each other's faces?
Dave: Also a different concept. You see, I tested positive for COVID so I'm living in the basement for 6 days to keep the rest of the family safe. FaceTime is the best way to connect while keeping them safe.
Agnes: Ah, got it. I usually like social distancing, but not from you.
Dave: I miss you too. But, we can FaceTime whenever we like.
Agnes: I'd love to, but I think I'll be cut off soon. Apparently I've already put a lot of drool onto the phone screen.

So unfortunately I tested COVID positive last Friday. I had a mild cold, but to be safe I took a home rapid test and it came out positive. The rest of the family was at the lake, so I moved into the basement before they had to come back home. I'm sure that me trying to get a weekly photo of my dog via FaceTime is exactly what Steve Jobs had in mind when Apple released FaceTime. So far I've been feeling really good and thank goodness for vaccines which I am convinced kept my symptoms mild. Just waiting out my isolation time to keep everyone else safe.
maybe because it is late, but the hole looks like a mouth with the handles as eyes and a funky palm hairdo......
