The Capri Mk.I was launched at the 1969 Brussels Motor Show with the intention of replicating the success Ford (USA) had enjoyed with their Mustang. Mechanically based on the contemporary Cortina/Taunus and built at Hailwood (UK), Genk (Belgium) and Cologne (Germany) with the continental built cars using the V4 Taunus engine in 1,3, 1,5 and 1,7ltr versions and the UK built cars S4 Ford Kent 1.3 and 1,6 versions. With the top of the range engines being a Cologne V6 or Essex V4 2 litre engines.

In September 1969 a 3000GT was launched in the UK with a 138bhp V6 Essex followed in 1970 by the 3000E with more luxurious trim

Ford revised the Capri in late 1972 as the Mark 1 Facelift, It received new and more comfortable suspension, enlarged tail-lights, larger headlamps with separate indicators were also fitted,] with quad headlamps now featured on the 3000GXL model. The Kent engines were replaced by the Ford Pinto engine and the previously UK-only 3000 GT joined the German line-up. In the UK the 2.0 L V4 remained in use.

An oddball grouping of locomotives was climbing Byron Hill back in March of 1999. Canadian National run-through train 348 had filthy SD60F 5506 bracketing a recently acquired from CP Rail SD40-2 and another SD60F with a pair of dead in tow Huron Central GP9s bringing up the rear.

The CP SD40-2 was part of an order of SD40-2s purchased for Ontario Hydro coal trains, and when CN took the contract from CP, they also got the SD40-2s. Wisconsin Central was in the process of double tracking Byron Hill at this time, and the construction was opening new vistas.

The original skin on the nose was very crudely applied and wasn't entirely accurate, so I eventually removed and re-applied the skin. In this photo, new skin has already been applied to the bottom half of the nose, and the top has been skinned to reveal parts of the cabin and the fuselage frame.

The 2013 facelifted gallardo. I quite like the re-styled front bumper, but the lines seem to be quite messy at the back. The rims are cool though.

Rumor has it a touch of windows and some new roofs are going to be seen from this famous Detroit landmark...

Please make it happen!

The first generation was given a mid life facelift in September 1996 and was replaced by a second generation for the 2001 model year.

The Facelift version of the Mark I Sierra, sometimes referred to a Mark 2 was introduced in October 1996, addressing three of the critiscms aimed at the original, its bland styling, the poor headlight performance and the cramped rear legroom. The facelift left only the doors, the roof, and the rear quarter panels on the estate the same as the original model. The most notable change was the introduction of the grille and larger, wraparound lighting units. The saloon version featured some distinctive rear lights.

The Mondeo competed in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) between 1993 and 2000. With cars prepared by Andy Rouse Engineering (1993-95) with Alan Menu and Paul Radisich, Radisich winning the Drivers title in 1993 and 1994, for seasons 1996-98 West Surrey Racing with Prodrive taking over for seasons 1999-00. For 2000 the team expanded to running three works cars, and went on to dominate the season with Mondeo mounted drivers finishing the season in 1st Alan Menu, 2nd Anthony Reid and 3rd Rickard Rydell in the Drivers Championship.

A complete overhaul of the BTCC following the 2000 season saw the supertouring regulations scrapped as the series moved towards less expensive but slower race cars. Ford withdrew from BTCC competition prior to 2001.

Honda didn't even bother to send a press release, but I noticed that the European Civic sedan gained the same mid-life refresh that the North American Civic sedan received last year. The revamped Civic sedan has a new front bumper and has lost its chrome grille.

The VW Polo range was introduced in 1975 as the smallest car in the family. The Polo is still in production (the Polo Mk6 is the current series) but not anymore the smallest (that is the VW Up).

This one is a 2nd generation pre-facelift estate, with internal code Typ 86C.

Mercedes-Benz Citaro Facelift - O530

Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-AG (SWEG): this company operated the urban transport of the German city of Offenburg. Here we see the bus with registration FR-H 3251 (Mercedes Benz O530 Citaro Facelift) at the bus station next to the main railway station, working a service in the line S4.

With less than a month until the Shanghai Expo begins, last-minute cosmetic improvements are in full swing as the city rushes to present its best face to the world. These workers from Anhui are giving this drab 15-year old apartment complex a new coat of concrete and white paint.

The cockpit windows have been modified to be more accurate, and I've begun to apply new skin panels around them.
