pictured: My Mom's amazing lasagna. Happy Mother's day, Mom! (she won't be cooking today!)
I shot this image at 80 iso and had it cross-processed in C-41 chemistry to produce a color negative. Color slide film is designed to be processed E6 for a color positive. Cross-processing it will alter the color palette and give you less than realistic color tones.
FPP's RetroChrome is cold-stored expired Kodak Ektachrome hand-rolled from ultra-large cinema reels. Retro Chrome will be available at The FPP starting May 15, 2015!

Greetings folks. This is a wonderful kickstarter to support. Even if you can not utilize this darkroom, the perks (T-shirts, bags and yup, an enlarger station named in your honor) are great reasons to support!

Shoot Film!
12/365 Today started great, with a blue ribbon walk to the eagle nest. We stopped to admire Stony Brook and spotted fish, crayfish, turtles, and bivalve shells!! The Bernies swept the Reds! Stitching was fun! Then…. Less fun. The gray water system started leaking into the basement. Oof. That pretty much ruined the night. The emergency plumber was a jerk, and we didn’t get stitching until 10:40. It could have been worse but it’s not great.

Thanks for supplying the Polaroid stuff for our studio Polaroid Experiment!
In 1983 Polaroid introduced an instant transparency system for still photography. The unexposed 35mm films came with their own processing pack. The films were processed within a dedicated, hand-powered, mechanical-cranked processing machine called an AutoProcessor, into which an exposed film and its processing pack had to be loaded. It was descended from the Polavision (Instant Home Movie) system and used the same additive colour (filter) process.

Plainfield HS in Connecticut is the latest recipient of a fleet of cameras courtesy of The FPP (and all the folks who have donated to our ongoing program)!
Plainfield teacher Lydia Mackela writes:
"I would really like to take the time to thank you and all of your volunteers SO MUCH for the amazing shipment of cameras. Although we may not be able to start using them this year because of really harsh budget cuts, they will be in full affect next year as we are bringing a darkroom to the school! I graduated from Plainfield High School in 2010 and now I am an educator here and I know how much this means to the kids – especially those who barely have anything special at home. I have the goal of bringing back the positivity and life to this department and with your help its possible! I hope to work with you guys more in the future! Sincerely though, THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Kids with cameras! A GREAT reason to donate to The FPP!
Despite being shot under less-than-ideal conditions with apertures ranging from f/3.5 to f/5.6 and shutter speeds never cracking 1/60" I'm still impressed with how well Babylon 13 took the dull overcast conditions. Smooth tonality, a little soft (but to be expected given the exposure settings). And despite being warry of the long stock developing times, D96 did an excellent job and certainly set the benchmark for the rest of the review rolls.
