The first sea day of every cruise is always formal night. This means the wearing of mess dress for officers who want to go into passenger areas. This is very annoying and normally means avoiding passenger areas, but there was a rumour that the spread of Norovirus meant that we might go to red level tommorrow (no unnecessary crew allowed in passenger areas) so to make thet most of it, we got dressed up and went upstairs.
We ate with the spa girls, which was nice for me, as I had been feeling a bit deprived of female company. Then we went to a quiet passenger bar and I had my first alcoholic drink since being onboard; a french martini. It was delicious and tasted of raspberries :) And the nice bar man gave us our drinks for free!
