Soo, I have been offered to blog a formal gown, which is totally out of my comfort zone. But I thought, what the heck, let’s try new things,right? Plus I had been thinking about doing a princess dress photo shoot lately so I gave it a chance. This OOAK irridescent jewel-toned deep green and black upcycled formal dress is so sexy! The slightly crinkle-textured overskirt was salvaged from a damaged formal. It gives an air of modesty when worn over the body-hugging assymetrical sheath dress that is made from gorgeous new brocade taffeta. The bow at the waist of the skirt and the shoulder of the dress are both accented with a double circlet of rhinestones. It fastens at the side with an invisible zipper.

The taffeta is 100% acetate. The sheath is lined at the top with 100% polyester black lining fabric.

The formal is a size 6. The following measurements are taken flat, from side to side, so they need to be doubled for around the body measurements.

The dress measures

16 inches (40.5 cm) at the bustline,

14.25 inches (36 cm) at the waist.

19.5 inches (49.5 cm) at the hips.

It is 36 inches (91.5 cm) long from the shoulder to the hem.

The overskirt measures

13.5 inches (34 cm) at the waist.

It is 18 inches long (45.5 cm) at the front and 31.5 inches (80 cm) long at the back, from the natural waistline.

My model is 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m).

Her measurements are

bust - 34 inches (86.5 cm),

waist – 27.5 inches (70 cm) and

hips – 40.5 inches (103 cm).

This garment now resides in a smoke-free, pet-loving home, but I have no knowledge of its former residence.
