Taken after a seemingly never ending drive, bit later than we'd have liked so sadly the light was going, but the colour was there, but the camera didn't seem to pick it up very well and I've really struggled making it look as close to life as possible, but I'm mostly happy with the result. Would have been nice not to have to use ISO1250 though
Cotter Force is a small waterfall on Cotterdale Beck, a minor tributary of the River Ure, near the mouth of Cotterdale, a side dale in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, England
Scaleber Force waterfall is probably the best waterfall I’ve photographed in the Yorkshire Dales. It’s hidden away on a small back road in the hills above Settle and would be very easily missed without prior research and knowledge of the area. I visited on an extremely damp summer morning earlier this year and had the place all to myself. The slippery paths down to the bottom of the falls were a little hair raising, but this incredible waterfall scene was very much worth the effort to reach.

Summerhill Force is a waterfall found in a wooded glade near Bowness in Upper Teesdale. The overhang behind and to the side of Summerhill Force waterfall is known as “Gibson’s Cave”. The cave is named after William Gibson. In the 16th century an outlaw, Gibson hid here while on the run from the constables of Barnard Castle.

Continuing with the winter theme (still), and another rare dabble into waterfalls for me, first outing for this image from last year, a tighter crop.
Catrigg Force is found a short distance from the village of Stainforth, just north of Settle, where there is a National Park car park. From the same car park it is also only a short walk to Stainforth Force - another dramatic waterfall.
The sweep of waves on South Beach in morning. Spent some time post-sunrise trying out different framing...looking for smaller frames of the waves themselves.

You can see the spotters enclosure in the background. Every congratulations must be extended to all the pilots based at Florennes, as it was them that organised the spotters day in their own time and after their hefty workload as participants and hosts of the 2 week exercise..
One of the many highlight's for me in a very impressive team display as always at RIAT 2022 was the Frecce Tricolori Italian air Force display team. Seen here flying in the Aermachi AT 339A aircraft.
3 x Italian Air Force Lockheed Martin F35A's taxing to the main 23 end at RAF Lossiemouth. The aircraft are departing after a three week detachment in March 2025.
Just to give you guys an update, Luke is mainly my figure to work on right now :)

This is a shot of East Gill Force, it's located on the Coast to Coast walk, near the village of Keld in North Yorkshire.

The new Star Wars was filmed in Skellig Micheal in Co. Kerry.
(As seen at the end)
My shot was taken in Dingle. Co. Kerrty. Different place but the same atmosphere :-))
Even at the end of a long winter there are so many beautiful views in this earth. Love this falls in County Durham the walkway to the base is beautifully laid out and makes this falls accessible to most.
Please enjoy the wonderful details in Large.
Thank you so much for your visit!

This is the upper Falls on Whitfield Beck and it was a real struggle to get to this point. The gorge is wooded, narrow and full of fallen trees. It was also very wet so the water levels were very high too, making headway up to this point difficult. Anyway, having made it here to see these majestic falls, there were very few uncluttered vantage points to take an image of them. Plus as you can probably make out the spray was pretty widespread and keeping the lens clean was an issue.
In the end I settled with this view and decided to cut my losses and head back down. This meant slithering down this steep leaf covered slope to the beck and retracing my obstacle course back down to the middle falls were the route became easier again.
It was the little guest of the day..whe he came as a ferry flight althought i would have prefered a different reg.
Indeed, i shooted him well at Leipzig (LEJ) three weeks ago and a couple of times at Strasbourg (SXB) two years ago ;)
Cotter Force is one of the better known waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales and is found on Cotterdale Beck not far upstream from where it flows into the River Ure in upper Wensleydale.
Cotter Force is actually made up of six separate drops, each drop wider than the one above. This is a view of the lower section from the side.
