My sister Laura went just a little bit overboard with the holiday cookies this year. In total, she made 20 different kinds of Christmas cookies for our family's Christmas eve dinner, a total of something like 800 cookies. It was truly an amazing and delicious abundance of yum.
These are one of the more colorful and photogenic kinds, a batch of confetti cookies. The full spread is linked in the comments.
Not mine this time but John Myres who also has my old Albion Reiver mixer in RMC livery.
I took a new truck for weighing on their public weighbridge and saw the last Foden Alpha on fleet and one of the two remaining ERF ecx's at rest but for how long...?

Operating as FR2315, Bratislava to London Stansted on Thursday 29th March 2018.
I purchased this last week with some other Dinkys. A brand new, never retailed, 50-year old Dinky Foden. It had four flat tires and some paint chips but it still has it's original price tag from "Taber's Toy-A-Rama in Atlantic City. The Fodens sold for $2.50 for most of the 1950s and that was more than I was permitted to spend for a toy. I now have this one with the $2.50 tag but I had to spend a little more.

J.Cluett & Son 1951 Foden LYE834 at Bolney on the 2/5/82 Brighton run. I wonder if the practise of 'external riding' carries on these days?!
I took this photograph at the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally in Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1996. It's a 1971 Foden S39 - there's no mention of it in the programme of the event but it also took part in the event in 1998 when the following note was in the programme:
Foden S39, 1971 HTB704K
Entered by John Thorpe, Heywood, Lancs
Originally operated by Maxwell Hart of Glasgow as a low loader carrying plant equipment.
It was then used with a conventional flat bed trailer by Preistner of Warrington on general
haulage duties.
It was later kept at the Bury Transport Museum, but I've been unable to ascertain if it's still there.

Forecasted rain ALWAYS comes early. Raining hard near Christchurch, so we hid under the trees and then went to the pub :) Down some fab new trails Steve showed us.
I asked the receptionist nearby who the truck belonged to and she replied that he'd used it to get to work that morning and that he restored old vehicles. Good on yer, whoever you are! Nice job!

This is a nice plum sized heirloom tomato. It's official name is Green Zebra. Although it is green, it doesn't taste like a traditional green tomato. It's just as delicious and fruity as a regular red tomato, with a slightly milder tomato flavor and firm texture. Aside from figs, this is one of those fruits of this season that make summertime special.
