I have four boxes like this, a large jar, and a ziploc bag of embroidery floss I can't seem to part with. ODC theme: I Used To - cross stitch.

My second attempt at a functional box. Dragons are known for their excellent dentition, right? So, what better place to store your floss.
This design uses the third technic hinge pattern. To keep the lid thin I used the SNOT technique of joining Technic plates (black) with a short Technic axle (red). It's sturdy but as you can see it doesn't lock completely tight.
The floss is Oral-B, with its lid torn off. If you use a bigger floss box of course you need a bigger dragon :)

The moon seen at the Los Angles County Arboretum during the morning - in the foreground are the blossoms of a Silk Floss Tree.

This is the strangest tree with it's green, bulbous trunk stuck all over with thorns and then these wonderful flowers on top. The blossoms are the size of big orchids and are very attractive to bees.
I took this yesterday a block down the street.

I love taking my son to the Fairground. Such fond memories of my childhood, and we share it together. The recent passing of my mate really hit home how important times like these are (not that I did not already have huge appreciate for this to start with). Time is so fleeting, and tomorrow is not guaranteed.
I shot this with a D200. Which is from 2006. You do not need a new camera...
