This locomotives wears a unique livery to promote the London Transport Museum. The base colour obviously being black with outlines of the various modes of public transport available in London.
This is a locomotive I've been after for a while due to the uniqueness of it's livery, so to have this turn up on a glorious day like that was very welcome.
At the edge of the wetland as the light was fading I was lucky enough to get some shots of this hummingbird.

Airshow London marked the final official flight for this C-130H Hercules, operated by the USCG Air Station in Clearwater, Florida. After decades of service, the aircraft is now retired and will be flown to a boneyard for dismantling.
Final approach.
At 6.20 pm the sky is blanketed by heavy smoke from the nearby out of control bush fires.
For most the afternoon the smoke blocked the suns rays and transformed was otherwise was a bright sunny day almost night.
Despite the density of the smoke this aircraft flew over the Hastings River and still managed to land at the Port Macquarie airport.

My last shot this morning probably turned out to be my favourite, was difficult getting near these rocks due to the incoming tide but managed a shot in the end
This sunrise beauty was captured on a Redang Island holiday resort (at Teluk Dalam): a beautiful island with crystal clear waters and beautiful sandy beaches. The island lies off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, as the last photo posted explains.
The sunrise is at the "final essence" stage, which describes the final phase of a sunrise, in all its glory, before starting to wane into the sun. Incidentally, the closer a place is to the equator the more colourful the sky is regarding sunrises/sunsets; also like a lot of wildlife (like the hornbill bird) and plants (like red frangipani).

From left to right, SAR corpsman HM3 Drinnon, crew chief Sgt Cardinale, pilot Capt 'Hotmess' Campbell, and unit commander Maj 'A-Bomb' Trout. The crew made several flights over their area of operations with crew chiefs and maintainers aboard for one last flight before performing one final short-haul lift of a simulated patient on a taxiway before a small crowd of Yuma SAR veterans and family.
This old tractor has a homemade front bumper complete with eyes for clevises, a stinger, and a front hitch. All of this would be very useful on a tractor.

I captured this osprey landing on a dead snag at Antelope Lake in Plumas County, California, USA. When I first saw it, it was in its nest, which I’d just seen for the first time. The sun was probably 10 minutes from dropping over the ridge in the west (camera right) so the bird was flying directly in to some gorgeous golden hour light. I can (and often do) lose track of time watching these amazing raptors as they show off their skills as the best fishers on the water. Someday I’ll capture the exact moment of the catch; I’ve just missed it a few times; but just about any photo of these wonderful creatures is worth shooting!
