EG52 FHD is a Dennis Dart SLF/Caetano Nimbus new to Connex as J101732 in October 2002 as their 232. It then worked for First Eastern Counties and First Kernow before transferring to First Glasgow in 2018. It is seen here in Bellshill working a short working of service 240 to Motherwell in an attempt to combat competition from JMB Travel.
Photos from a trip to Gosport now, enjoying the late winter sunshine.
First up, here is Enviro200 MMC 67186, one of the recent arrivals for the Eclipse set of routes, heading off for Fareham.
First Wessex continue to serve Poole with the infrequent X54 from Weymouth. The depot has recently received seven Enviro400s cascaded from the First Manchester operations, which, in due course, will receive Jurassic Coaster branding. Here is 33727 turning in the Poole coach park - the temporary terminus for some long distance routes while the Poole bus station is being redeveloped.

The Solent Electrics have settled down on to the Solent Rangers, with all but one of the operations today being these brand new electric beasts. 63620 is pictured passing through the village of Titchfield, en-route for Southampton on the X4.

Photos from a quick family-related trip to Gosport today, where the sun was shining on a glorious spring afternoon!
First up one of the three remaining Volvo B7RLEs allocated to Hoeford for the Eclipse routes between Fareham and Gosport. 69537-9 still remain at Hoeford, but are due for replacement by 2018. With buses on the A3 "The Star" due next year, I wouldn't be surprised if three were tagged on to the end of that batch.

The Solent Rangers have really not settled down on to any specific route since the half-hourly weekday frequency was reintroduced (the service is still hourly at weekends). Streetlite 63307 arrives in to the new bus station at The Hard on a 3 for Fareham in early August.

Solent Ranger 63298 is pictued arriving in to Fareham. During the last lockdown, most of these were taken off road, but since the summer, the Solent Rangers have generally been on the X4 and X5 reliably.
Today's 9 operations on the X4 and X5 Solent Rangers include two Streetdecks and seven Electroliners, one of which is this Eclipse-branded example in the form of 63690. The bus is pictured heading out of Locks Heath Centre on an X5 for Southampton.

Right! Well, I'm a little bored of the Covid-19 wanderings (more to come in the future, of course), so time, as mayn other Flickr users have done, to remaster the old classics!
Today, I focus on a big part of the bus scene when I grew up - love them or loathe them, the Iveco minibus was a staple allocation throughout my childhood and I have fond memories of them... not sure if fond is the right word, but anyway, moving on!
Today's photos come from pre-national numberin in 2003, which means I was 13 when I took them, and if I say so myself, not bad for a kid.
Here is former Blue Admiral 253, one of a number left in the fleet with Mellor bodywork at the time. It is pictured one May evening at the old bus station at Portsmouth Hard with a 27 for QA Hospital.

Route 3 is actually quite interesting at the moment - well, if you like Streetlites. The 47*** batch have moved off the route to town services or to Hilsea, leaving a mixture of Max buses left. Solent Rangers, Stars and then the '16-plates from Sheffield make up the allocations, along with recently transferred ex-Stars in fleet colours.
Advertising The St, here is 63067 in Hartlands Road arriving on the 3.
Photos from the last week of First Southampton operations.
New to Berkshire and, via Hoeford and Empress Road, reportedly back to Berkshire in the coming days to see off Enviro200s to other fleets. 47669 carries anonymous red livery having moved over to Empress Road in 2019 as part of the expansion to Totton and Calmore agains BlueStar. The 1 did last until the end of First Southampton, operating every half hour, rather than the every 10 minutes of its inception.

One of the new order of Eclipse buses, here is 67177 departing Gosport bus station en-route for Fareham. Planning applications for the redevelopment around Gosport bus station have been rumoured for years but the old structure remains - most of the time with no more than three or four buses on the stands.
By July 2003, the Overground network had been introduced across the Portsmouth services. I always found it odd that seven Ivecos received the branding, but, having thought about it, at this point they were only eignt years old, which is roughly the age of any stock new in 2012 today.
Ivecos 190 to 196 were branded, with 197 and 198 also receiving Barbie 2 colours. Here is 191, pictured, judging by the light, in September or October of the year, in Fareham bus station so very off route and no where near where route 6 went. The 57 operated between Warsash and Eastney at this point, via Fareham and Portsmouth city centre, and operated every 30 minutes with these delightful little buses.

The Solent Rangers have seen a large proportion of journeys operated by double decks in recent months. This is subtly changing over the next few days with the double decks generally allocated to school and colleges, and the reinstated Scania Omnicity buses seeminly returning to the Solent Rangers - the route they were replaced on in late 2015. The Scanias are the biggest and highest capacity single deck at Hoeford, and, although new in 2004, are cracking buses still (and, in my opinion, much more comfortable than a Streetlite for the long trips!). 11 have been reintroduced to service.
Anyway, pictured on 5th August, here is Enviro400 33699 departing from Portsmouth for Southampton on the X4.
A common sight around Fareham and Gosport now, here is ADL Enviro200 MMC 67187 departing Gosport bus station.
Two of the Mellor-bodied Ivecos also received corporate livery, and I remember being in Fareham bus station on this day when they conveniently headed off in different directions on simulteneous departures. This is 264 pictured heading for Warsash on the 57, a route today that is operated by Wright Streetlites usually as a Solent Ranger route.
The two were repainted out of advertisement liveries. These were the days before you just removed the vinyl!
More tomorrow or Saturday, before I remaster other types. I'm sure I've got some Nationals somewhere.
