Exploring the environment of the hummingbirds, I found this moth on the Lantana flowers.

I don't know the species of moth and butterflies. Could anyone help me with the ID, please?

While the plague rages outside the castle walls, the nobility have remained unscathed and are able to enjoy a day of feasting. Phillip and Joan have lived comfortable their entire lives, however with a war in the north, Phillip must leave the next day to lead his army to aid in the defense.

I built this in collaboration with Josdu for Brickscalibur’s The Rich and the Poor category. I had a lot of fun building a detailed large scale interior particularly with all the food! The title is inspired by a video game which Josiah drew inspiration from for his build.

This was taken in Arboretum and Botanical Gardens of Overland Park, which is my home town. It was such a beatitful day for macro photography, cloudly and soft light. my mom was with and trying out photography with my second camera. so much fun =)

A Lanner Falcon feasting on its prey. It was quite a sight to see as it went about enjoying the fruit of its sky labour.

There are no known predators of adult Falco biarmicus, and the species thrives in any area where it is left alone by humans. However, F. biarmicus eggs are vulnerable to scavengers that feed on them, as well as humans who rob nests for the pet/falconry industry.

Prompt: Create a digital fine art painting in a square aspect ratio, depicting a 17th-century Thanksgiving feast among early Pilgrim settlers gathered around a rustic wooden table in a colonial cabin.

At the center of the table sits a large roasted turkey, surrounded by platters of bread, root vegetables, corn, and stewed dishes, all rendered with rich texture and golden tones. The tablecloth is simple linen, slightly wrinkled and stained from the hearty meal.

The scene shows men and women dressed in authentic Pilgrim attire — black and brown garments with white collars and cuffs, bonnets, and tall hats. Their faces are expressive, reflecting warmth and gratitude as they converse and share food. The composition captures the intimate atmosphere of the first Thanksgiving: firelit, earthy, and full of reverence.

Add a West Highland White Terrier sitting attentively at the table between two figures, its bright white fur contrasting softly against the warm brown tones of the room. The Westie should have an alert but gentle expression, looking toward the feast, adding a touch of charm and innocence to the historic scene.

Include subtle background details such as dried herbs and corn hanging from wooden beams, pumpkins and gourds on the floor, and warm, diffused light illuminating the faces and food. The overall tone should convey a feeling of community, gratitude, and timeless tradition.

Polydamas Swallowtail Butterfly (Battus polydamas). Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Coral Gables, Florida.

It's extremely difficult to photograph the swallowtails, because they never stop fluttering their wings and seldom stay for more than a couple of seconds on any given flower.

Please, take the time tho FAVE this photo, that is if you think it deserves a FAVE!

At 4am it felt very lonely. Icy winds whistled through the wreckage of the stranded DC3 and the gods feasted over my head. I took the arctic weather very serious and was well prepared to handle the cold but it did not occur to me that people had actually died reaching this scenic location in Iceland.

I am excited to return to this magical island full of beauty and danger.

The numbers of bees of all types was starting to concern me in the early part of the summer, but now there are more flowers out the numbers have dramatically increased.

This morning it was dry so I headed back to Nicomen Slough. Water level was pretty high but there were very few fisherman along the dike for a chance. More did arrive while I was there but why anyone would want to eat half dead rotten Salmon unless you were a Bald Eagle is beyond me. I saw several dozen eagles in the trees and feeding on the sandbars. More than a few dead salmon were being fed upon by crows and gulls. Perhaps the run is winding down.

Feast of Our Virgin of Health

The feast of the Virgin of Health is a religious festival in the city of Venice, which takes place November 21 of each year. It is a pilgrimage of thanksgiving towards the Virgin that has as its goal the basilica of Santa Maria della Salute.

Throughout the day, in the church, kept open without interruption, are celebrated continuously masses and rosaries, with a continuous influx of the faithful.

The recurrence originates from the large outbreak of bubonic plague that struck the whole of northern Italy between 1630 and 1631.

The good luck streak continued! Found the Cathrineholm in the same place. The bowls were with the plastics.
