I am inspired by inspiration.

I love the art & craft community, and the people who make it what it is.

I am a fashion victim who loves vintage dresses, and reads way too many European fashion blogs. My fashion muses are Zooey Deschanel, Vivienne Westwood and any girl (or boy) who reworks something from their mother's wardrobe.

I love simple cuts, elegant trims, petticoats, high-waisted skirts, cinched waists, peter pan collars, puffy sleeves, and polkadots. I believe bowties are a girl's (or boy's) best accessory.

I also love Blythe dolls, a girl from the 70's who is now embraced by fellow lovers all around the world. Blythe brings people together. They are my muses; for me they symbolise a return to childhood, and a simpler time marked by an incurable curiosity for what is different and what is beautiful.

That is why I have decided to call my Blythe label "kinderland". For me, kinderland captures this playful world in one word. My creations come from my mind, and from my heart. I gather inspiration from street fashion, photographs and my lovely friends.

Artist: Emily Ding "Sustainable Fashion" Mural

The artwork features two people representing the alternatives for sustainable fashion. The woman holds a boat shuttle for handmade loom weaving and there is mending visible on the man's denim jacket. He is smelling marigolds which is a natural dye. Both figures are standing in front of mounds of clothes reminding us to support slow fashion and reduce the amount of textiles going into landfills and reduce fashion waste.

Dit gebouw (nr. 2) is de sociale hub van de PHV-campus. De gelaagde, organische vormen zijn geïnspireerd op een waterval. Vloeiende lijnen en een sensueel gebogen rimpeling in het glasoppervlak geven op spectaculaire wijze vorm aan de hoofdingang.

This building (number 2) is the social hub of the PHV campus. The layered, organic forms are inspired by a waterfall. Flowing lines and a sensually curving ripple in the glass surface give a spectacular form to the main entrance (MVSA Architects).
