On an obedient plant - pretty flowers, attractive to pollinators. Nothing in the garden spreads more readily...
So I bought I Hoya HR72 for the X100T from Amazon for this challenge, but I'm either using it entirely incorrectly or the filter is fake, because even with the longest exposure time I don't get those nice snow white grass and leaves, everything is just red. There is also a really nasty halo(I've removed it here) present on all the shots, at first I thought it was the after market hood and filter ring I was using, but it's exactly the same with the filter directly attached to the camera. Think it needs to go back to Amazon.
Going to try this again in the summer when we have a bit more greenery present though.
Week 2 - Infrared
On Burrard Bridge looking East, Vancouver BC. The bridge in the photo is Granville (Street) Bridge, below it to the right is the popular Granville Island.

Not too happy with some areas of it, but for my first organic build I'm pretty happy
False Kiva The trail to false kiva is a social trail not maintained by the park service, because of its archeological significance. There are small cairns along the way to mark the meager trail, but you have to be attentive. I walked right past it, but I found it while backtracking. Heavy fog rolled in as I arrived near sunset, but didn't last long. If you look at the large version you'll see clouds nestling around the rock formations in the distance. I carefully cloned out some manmade barriers that protect some areas to the left of the false kiva.
A walk behind the closed down Avon Tyre factory in Melksham to explore infra red possibilities on a bright and sunny February morning. Newly converted Sony A6000 first try-out - quite happy with results after processing in Photoshop and DxO Photolab.
At the moment of totality, I looked to the west to ease the cruck in my neck, wow, what a moment! So humbling and inspiring!
False Creek is a short narrow inlet in the heart of Vancouver, separating the Downtown and West End neighborhoods from the rest of the city. It is one of the four main bodies of water bordering Vancouver, along with English Bay, Burrard Inlet, and the Fraser River. Granville Island is located within the inlet.

Infrared HDR (3 shot) processed in ColorEfex Pro and Analog Efex. Bit different to my usual IR processing!
It seems this ferry is not in service, if you enlarge ther photo, you can see inside the ferry is full of cargoes, and not one passenger!!

False Boronia (Phyllanthus calycinus). I was unsuccessful in my attempts to identify this cute flower, until my Flickr contact Ben Calendonia suggested the genus Phyllanthus -- which was correct! Stirling Range National Park, in Western Australia north of Albany.
These are called purple false foxgloves, I believe. Do view large for more details.
Have a lovely day, everyone...

Arches National Park, Jupiter rising in zodiacal light, Orion, the winter Milky Way, and some insane airglow all make up this two-row pano that I shot about a year ago.
This is a panorama I've been meaning to reprocess for awhile now but something else always came up, but as I've been without a camera for the last week it ended up being the perfect opportunity to get this and a few other images finished up.
I had to return to the Kiva to see if I could snag a sunset. I was able to grab somewhat of one...but the experience is always worth staying for. By the time we had packed up, it was dark and we got disorientated on our way back to the car. Luckily the road appeared and we ended up being about a 1/2 mile from where we should have been. The cairns are your friend! Do not abandon them (in the dark)
