There are few ambient light sources I love to play with more than a bright ray of sunlight coming through thick curtains -- especially when it happens at 2 a.m.
No, I didn't take this in the Arctic Circle. This was another in my recent experiments to poke and prod at some of the possibilities afforded to us by extremely light-sensitive cameras. The "sun" is really a (fairly dim) Litepanel MicroPro. In real life, it was so dark I could barely see Claudia to pose her, but 1/6th, f/1.4, ISO 5000 took care of that.

A beautiful old bicycle "going back to nature." Found on the street in my old neighborhood, I went by on an overcast day to shoot it.
EF 50mm f/1.4, 1/60 @ f/8, ISO 400. The bright overcast light gives it nice, even illumination.
Finally, 50mm is back in my backpack 1.4G this time, I was a happy owner of the 1.8D previously.
I will , post some more pictures on my blog shortly.
Stay tuned.
