Workers in a small boat put down absorbent pads in an effort to pick up oil from a spill nearly a mile away as it makes its way into water near Lake Conway April 1, 2013. Exxon's Pegasus pipeline, which can carry more than 90,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude from Patoka, Illinois to Nederland, Texas, was shut down March 29, 2013 after a leak was discovered late in the afternoon in a subdivision near the town of Mayflower, Arkansas. The leak forced the evacuation of 22 homes. Exxon had no specific estimate of how much crude oil had spilled, but the company said 12,000 barrels of oil and water had been recovered. The company did not say how much of the total was oil and how much was water. Greenpeace Photo by Karen E. McCall

The Greenpeace Thermal Airship A.E. Bates flies over the Dallas, Texas area as part of a campaign confronting Exxon before its upcoming shareholder meeting on May 31st. The annual shareholder meeting in Texas is the perfect opportunity to hold the company accountable for its harmful endeavor of an oil state and oil diplomacy.

weirdly, my office building has become my favorite skyscraper. The key factor, I realized recently, it's that it's perfectly modern and linear and angular and non-natural, but the stone they used has taken on a real *weathered* look. So even this incredibly solid monstrosity has been affected by the elements.

Former Exxon Gas Station located at 2400 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in San Ramon,CA.. The gas statiton has been branded under the Valero name since 1999 when Exxon sold off many of their NorCal gas stations. The auto care center is now owned by a seperate entity operating under rthe name D&D Automotive. There is no relation to DAD and Valero as they simply lease out the auto care facility.

This was an old exxon station which has been vacant for quite some time. (1.) it was was built in 1988. ( 2.) It almost was demolished in 2012 for a Chase Bank, those plans never materialized. Update May 26, 2015 this gas station has now been demolished along with the Avon Apartments which were next door. Plans are for a Strip Mall to be built here.
