Extra shots from Otakuthon 2016 I didn't upload before because of a lack of time or they just seemed less interesting to me at that time.
For 2016, I did less of the picture taking and more of the con-going thing, whatever that is, and I really did enjoy it more. Still, I somehow feel like I could have taken more pictures.
Doing private private shoots outside of conventions might be a thing to consider in the future.
so friday night, fae and i were extras for hbo's "treme" tv series, which is set here in new orleans. the scene we were extras for was a recreation of 2006's krewe du vieux parade. there were probably 200+ extras hired for this scene, and we sat around waiting for like 6 hours in the holding tent, dealing with paperwork, eating, and just generally killing time til they were ready for us.
this pic is the feeding frenzy happening, as we waited in line to get our paperwork verified. we did eventually eat later. it was quite a scene. many of the kdv members had brought their own alcohol, so the scene inside the tent started to get a little rowdy by the time they were actually ready to start shooting.
I made Cassidy come with me to the doctor today so that I could take
the carpool lane on the way home.
