L'Extra 200 est un avion de voltige d'entraînement avancée biplace, construit par Extra Aircraft.
Il est un dérivé moins puissant et moins cher de l'Extra 300LP. Le fuselage est construit à partir d'un treillis de tubes acier CrMo 4130 et l'aile est construite en composite. La dérive et le plan arrière sont en composite également (fibre de verre et de carbone) tout comme les jambes de train. Tous ces éléments techniques sont repris des modèles haute performance du constructeur. De fait, l'appareil est certifié pour +/-10G.
Cet appareil est toujours en production en 2008.
L'Extra 200 est équipé d'un moteur 4 cylindres Lycoming AEIO-360 de 200 chevaux et d'une hélice tripale Mühlbauer MTV 12 à pas variable. C'est un avion à mi-chemin entre les appareils d'entraînement de type Cap 10 et les monoplaces de compétition de 300+ chevaux tant par ses performances que par les exigences requises pour l'utiliser.
Il n'existe pas de version monoplace de cet appareil.

Attendees at the Wings Over Wine Country Air Show on Saturday, August 17th were treated to an un-scheduled performance from Cal Fire's Sonoma Air Attack Squad. A malfunction on Julie Clark's smoke unit sparked three fires on the grounds of the Sonoma County Airport. One fire at the north end briefly threatened adjacent property, prompting Cal Fire to dispatch it's Grumman S-2T bomber to dump a load of Foscheck fire retardant on the rapidly advancing fire. Two helicopters were dispatched with Bambi Buckets to drop water on the fires. The fire delayed the air show for about 90 minutes as fire crews fought to extinguish the fires. For the attendees, the delay was a non-issue.People were treated to aerial pagentries of Cal Fire and the Sonoma County Sherrif's Department.

Maiko Makiko-san and who? Yukako-san? I cannot distinguish the faces of Geiko-san and Maiko-san well. Would you mind anyone telling me who this Maiko-san is?
This picture was taken a pretty long ago maybe on Hassaku by some guest of the Ochaya-san. The Okaa-san gave me the photograph the other day. So, if the person who took this picture protests to the posting up, I'll immediately conceal the photograph from view.

This wee one is showing off the extra toes. . . one extra on three feet, two extra on the left front one. I'll get a better shot of the bottom of that mega-foot to show off the pads when I'm not shooting solo. For some odd reason, kittens just don't fully cooperate with photo shoots. . . unless they are sound asleep.
