The gorals are small ungulates with a goat-like or antelope-like appearance native to highlands from India and Myanmar to the Russian Far East.. Gorals are often found on rocky hillsides at high elevations. Though their territories often coincide with those of the closely related serow, the goral will usually be found on higher, steeper slopes with less vegetation. Species are vulnerable to extinction and are considered endangered.

Another shot from the Waterberg Wilderness Reserve near Mokopane last September. There's a gorgeous sundowners spot where you can sit and watch the sun setting behind Hangklip Mountain, a little outcrop at the edge of the Waterberg Mountains. There was a lot of dust in the sky as it hadn't rained for months so the sun was a glorious red orb as it dropped below the skyline.
A little-known fact about Hangklip Mountain - it's only accessible by helicopter and it's the toughest Par 3 golf hole in the world.
INCANDESCENT EXTINCTION
This artwork includes two elements, one arranged vertically above the other. This last element is arranged horizontally on the ground. The two elements incorporate color gradients, one goes towards yellow, the other goes towards sky blue. On the horizontal element, the numbers 100,000, 10,000 and 1,000, in black on a white background, are arranged on black bands.
Technique: paper, cardboard. Size: 95 x 70 x 70 cm.
