This was one of my most recent projects, I chose the EPC (Extended Project Creative) because it gave me a wide range with what I wanted to make and I adored the freedom the lack of stimuli gave. I modelled this dress after peoples perception's of what we believe fashion will be, specifically in the future and then what it actually is; for example in George Orwell's novel 1984 the style of dress is utilitarian and militaristic which is a high contrast to what the 80's actually consisted of. This dress used natural methods such as hand dyed fabric from natural resources such as leaves and walnut skins and contains details like mismatching threads, because in my perception - the future will have the current resources we have and therefore in 3023, this is what I believe the world will look like.

The instructions suggest that you shorten the zipper and make a new zipper stop. I placed the zipper stop at the large circle. Sewed it in place attaching the left fly. After the waistband was sewn, I cut the zipper with the top of the pant.
Pro Tip - Be careful when stitching over zipper tape if using metal zipper. Stitch slowly in case needle hits teeth.
Trying out a new Canon Extender EF 2x III... not having realised that with my model of camera, using this extender would mean that autofocus would not work...!

Had a chance to open it up, to unstuck some of the keys (my guess is that it had been opened before, and when they closed the thing they weren't very careful), and took some shots! :)
