After tipping in Peterhead, now to fuel up at the local Asda before heading south and back to home. Diesel Price at this time 97.7p litre.
2021 recolour of the plastic bodied Matchbox Express Delivery which has undergone more cost cutting resulting in the disappearance of its opening rear door! Mint and boxed.
Even with its slightly suspect Robo Mechanics recolour the Express Delivery remains one of the most acceptable of the Matchbox generics. It may now feel a lot lighter thanks to its plastic body but its switch from metal hasn't affected the actual crispness of its casting which still looks impressively believable and typical of a U.S. sourced Step Van. The rear door still opens adding a bit more play value and the choice of wheels is also commendable for a low cost diecast van. Bought from Poundland back in May 2016 when this batch began to appear there and in fact can still be found in some of these stores even into April 2017. Mint and boxed.

The very recent versions of the Matchbox Grumman based Express Delivery van are dubious to say the least. Terrible graphics and a general feeling of them being cheapened although its still nice to see them with the chrome effect wheels. Mint and boxed.

950 is one of fourteen dedicated Wright Eclipse Gemini 2s used solely for 'The Airport Run' as i heard a smartly dressed elderly gentleman say as he passed while i took the picture. He then stopped and asked "Can i see your snap son" Yes of course sir and he followed it up by saying "Thats lovely son, keep up the good work" and on his way he went.
That made my day so thanks to him for making me smile and also to 950 for making it happen.
