Part of my night shot with Andrew(www.flickr.com/photos/ajhaysom/) who also took some similar shots, although I think he took the better ones, at the same location. We waited for about 20 minutes for a train to arrive as they are not too frequent at around 8:30 at night.

...whether the chickens expect her arrival in the Taj Mahal (see above on the right) or, nevertheless, rather in the saucepan landed avoids of our notice. The district Faridpur is populated from more than 1.7 million people and is lain on the banks of the Padma.

Scavenge Challenge #15 : There Used to Be... a gas station here. This sight is all too familiar in my town. A series of factory closings over the past decade has had a huge impact on the local economy and small businesses.
York County Library Hosts Cocky’s Reading Express for Special Summer Initiative
A group of students from Rock Hill’s Richmond Drive Elementary School got a very special surprise on Wednesday, May 23, as part of their visit to the York County Library. They met Cocky, the University of South Carolina’s mascot, who brought his Reading Express to Rock Hill to emphasize the importance of reading.
Cocky’s Reading Express is an award-winning literacy outreach program designed to inspire South Carolina children to read. USC students accompany Cocky in his visits around the state, read aloud to children, and give each child a book.
The Richmond Drive Elementary School students are part of a new Summer Reading Coalition, a partnership between the Rock Hill School District, Richmond Drive Elementary School, the Winthrop University VISTA Program, and the York County Library, to help at-risk students maintain their reading skills over the summer months. Ten students from each grade level in grades K-5 will participate in the pilot program. In addition to encouraging children and families to visit the public library, students will be invited to participate in bi-weekly events at the school during the summer. The York County Library Bookmobile will also make scheduled visits to the school.
York County Library staff got an opportunity to talk with the students about the importance of a library card and the library’s summer reading program “Dream Big – Read!” As a part of this initiative, more than 188 new library cards have been issued to Richmond Drive Elementary students.

Using new equipment from the Iowa Northern, the Hawkeye Express departs the commuter station in Coralville, IA to deliver another load of University of Iowa football fans to Kinnick Stadium prior to the game. The ex-Metra cabcar was not yet ready for service, so IAIS 704 was filling in its place.

Snowball Express XI was a great success as we welcomed nearly 1800 children and families of our fallen military heroes to Dallas for a week full of activities!
Beginning with the arrival of our generously donated charter flights by presenting sponsor American Airlines with all volunteer flight crews from all over the country, the families were taken by Greyhound motor coach and Patriot Guard escort to our host hotel, the Hilton Anatole Dallas. The hotel was filled with activities in the Teen and children lounges, and in the Gallo family lounge for the adults.
Day one began with our police and patriot guard escort to Fort Worth, completely shutting down highway 30 with a 48 school bus precession. Firefighters from Arlington lined the overpasses to wave and salute our families!
After arriving in Fort Worth, the annual Walk of Gratitude was held at the famous Fort Worth Stock Yards. The families were then treated to the Pawnee Bill Wild West Show at the Cowtown Coliseum. From there our families were taken to the Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base for a private concert by Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band in a Hangar on base. Gary put on a great show as always for the families and then handed out teddy bears for all the children. Food was provided by Texas Land and Cattle, and prepared with the help of Chef Robert Irvine.
Day 2 included a fun day at four separate game centers around DFW. That evening everyone enjoyed a great dinner and entertainment at Medieval Times Show & Dinner.
The third day included our annual Talent Showcase presented by the Texas Music Project, followed by another amazing closing show by our Chief Fun Officer, David Hira.
