The Morans Falls, Lamington National Park, Queensland, Australia. The rainbow color appeared at the middle of the waterfall when exposed to the sunlight.
Asrai - are small and delicate female faeries who melt away into a pool of water when captured or exposed to sunlight.
Mid morning, sitting on the exposed floor of a road culvert headwall where a nearby surface water irrigation system is leaking water... after 15 minutes, waiting for the local residents to become accustomed to us, our patience pays off and the local birds start coming down for a drink.
A flock of House Sparrows... slowly bring up the big lens... no wait! Perhaps 16 male and female Linnets... they are hyper alert... only the second time I have seen some of these Finches in four months... very cool...
Winter's drought exposed the river's rocks,
Spring rain will conceal them once again.

The Dolomite Mountains (the Dolomites) are a mountain range in northeastern Italy, part of the Southern Limestone Alps. They are in the regions of Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The Dolomites are mostly made up of exposed rocks – limestones and dolomites and partly – rhyolites. These mountains are characterized by very picturesque terrain caused by their erosion and they are considered one of the most attractive mountain landscapes in the world. A large number of jagged ridges, peaks and rock towers, very steep slopes, cliffs and large vertical rock walls of several hundred meters, deep valleys and karst phenomena create a spectacular landscape. On 26 June 2009, the Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Dolomity – pasmo górskie w północno-wschodnich Włoszech, część Alp Wschodnich, leżące w regionach Trydent-Górna Adyga i Wenecja Euganejska. Dolomity w dużej części składają się z odkrytych skał – wapieni i dolomitów oraz częściowo – riolitów. Góry te charakteryzują się bardzo malowniczą rzeźbą terenu spowodowaną ich erozją i uważane są za jeden z najatrakcyjniejszych krajobrazowo obszarów górskich na świecie. Duża liczba poszarpanych grani, turni i baszt skalnych, bardzo stromych stoków, urwisk oraz wielkich kilkusetmetrowych pionowych ścian skalnych, głębokich dolin i zjawisk krasowych tworzy spektakularny krajobraz. W 2009 roku Dolomity wpisano na listę światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO.
This was a road that I probably shouldn't have been on. Legally, I was fine, of course, but I didn't trust my (stock) tires and wasn't really sure of the condition of the road which stretched for dozens of miles before me.
I opted out once the sand got too deep for comfort, but on the way out, I wanted to get a shot of this twisted and exposed cottonwood tree. So I did.

There is nothing quite like being over 11,000 feet up at sunrise in a bitter cold wind. You feel incredibly alive and also very exposed. You are out in the elements and there is little to protect you. Even though this feeling can be intimidating, I like to picture the wind as God’s love and presence and being fully exposed to it. There are no worldly shelters in the way to protect you from the beautiful blast of Himself! What a joy it is to be in His presence fully exposed!
Exposed roots entwine on the forest floor of Cape Flattery, the northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States.
The cape is within the Makah Reservation, part of the homeland of the Makah Tribe who’s traditional homeland is throughout the northwestern tip of Washington State.
The Makah call themselves "qʷidiččaʔa·tx̌", wich loosely translates to "people who live by the rocks and seagulls".
...shots like this push the boundaries of the camera's dynamic range...no time for tripods and exposure stacking...just one shot...but since the 'God rays' are the interest I exposed for the highlights and let the shadows stay dark...the test is to see if those very bright highlights are blown or not...the River Wharfe catching the light
Brutal shooting conditions on this particular visit to Botallack. Strong winds generated some nice water movement and drama within this particular scene. With a second lockdown coming into force towards the end of the week I spent a good few hours shooting and made my way back up the cliff once it was dark.

Pulsatilla styriaca (Steirische Küchenschellen, "Gogoloanzen"), nature reserve Häuselberg, Leoben. With the help of a friend I was able to take pictures of more exposed specimens. These are hiding in the walls and I needed a rope to feel safe.
The Castle of Nordkirchen, located in the southern Münsterland/Germany, is called the "Westphalia Versailles".
