One of the great things about winter ( hen the temps aren't stupid cold) is lacing up your skates and going for a spin.

A couple of days ago I had the chance to visit the Wicklow National Park in Ireland to discover Lake Glendalough.
I had already been here a couple of years ago, but I visited the place with a local tour bus so I did not have the chance to visit the location as I had would.
I crossed the path that led to the Miners Village and from there I continued to photograph the lake from above.

Few days ago I saw an airplane by sunset from my room and I thought immediately that I had to capture that moment.
So, here it is!
As always I applied the amazing VSCO Film effects for Aperture.

My Mom just had her 80th birthday, this is a close up shot of the selection of flowers I got for her. She loved the color and selection. (view in large size)
As the sunrises are getting later and later, I have less opportunities to catch them during the week.....some of us have to go to work you know!! Some nice colours in the sky though, just before the sun came up. As I drove up Peartree Hill and on to the Gilnahirk Road, the sky exploded behind me into a most beautiful sunrise with lovely pockets of mist between me and Scrabo Tower and beyond. I'm sure someone got some lovely shots....somewhere :)

Still poking through the archives. I'm soooooooo glad I took a bunch of pics of these apple
trees when I did because this Spring there was absolutely no mustard in this orchard. :-(

Art Quote of the Day
Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.
Oscar Wilde mentioned and I nodded:)
