An Explorer's Club mom watches the girls sled down the mountain near Mt. Baker Ski Area.

I really like how this came out :)

Oh, and I've been planning my own little photography project... I have all the ideas in my head, now I just need the right place to shoot.

Well, nevermind. You'll understand later :)

All I can say is, THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY.

Happy Friday everyone :)

Niagara River -

This is a small portion the Niagara River just before it cascades over the American Falls. There is unbelievable power in every drop. Walking alongside the river one experiences constant excitement as the water crashes like ocean surf. The closer to the falls, the more energetic is the turbulence. The color of this Niagara water is amazing blue-green hue both on the river above and below the falls.

Have a nice weekend!

The Verdon Gorge (in French: Gorges du Verdon or Grand canyon du Verdon), in south-eastern France (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), is a river canyon that is often considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful. It is about 25 kilometres long and up to 700 metres deep. It was formed by the Verdon River, which is named after its startling turquoise-green colour, one of the canyon's most distinguishing characteristics. The most impressive part lies between the towns of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, where the river has cut a ravine up to 700 metres down through the limestone mass. At the end of the canyon, the Verdon river flows into the artificial lake of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon (in French: Lac de Sainte-Croix).

Because of its proximity to the French Riviera, the canyon is very popular with tourists, who can drive around its rim, rent kayaks or hike. The limestone walls, which are several hundreds of metres high, attract many rock climbers. It is considered an outstanding destination for multi-pitch climbing. There are routes encompassing cracks, pillars and seemingly endless walls. The climbing is generally of a technical nature, and there are over 1,500 routes, ranging from 20m to over 400m.

This is the day FORTY FIVE and so I wanted to make something special! I planed it a little bit different because I wanted the lantern to be right in front of the sun. But with no one behind the camera this wasn't that easy. I still love the outcoming and I hope you do as well :)

If you couldn't tell already, I really enjoy photographing these birds. The banded male has left "my spot", but this male has now come, along with a second female (female based on its behaviour with the male and the first female). Very fun to watch, sometimes hovering right in front of my face to catch insects.
