One of the test shots while dialing my strobe timing. This one was close, with the bullet visible on the far right hand side of the photo.
self-critique: The colors kick ass, nice capture of autumn boldness. Color and texture, however, are unappealingly inconsistent between lower left quadrant and the rest of the image. Definitely not my best, but a good exercise nonetheless.
Has a trippy technohypno beat that I can dance to - I'll give it a 5.

Shot with a 8x10 Deardorff with 4x5" back and trix film and sound trigger for the flash. Moving the mic away from the bulb created the needed delay when the pelet hit the bulb.
It's now dark and John has to fire the remaining bullets.

Exploding Head Syndrome is a hardcore punk band from Oslo, Norway. The band hit the rehearsal space for the first time in the summer of 2010, and about a year later released their first recordings; a 7-tracks self-titled EP, which was well received by the norwegian press.
EHS describe their sound as “angry punk” and their lyrics deal with the stress and frustration of todays society. The band is highly influenced by american punk and british hardcore. Exploding Head Syndrome is renowned for their energetic live shows and in the last couple of years the band has toured Norway and has shared stage with bands like Satyricon, Oslo Ess and Blood Command.
On 9. October 2013 the band released their first full-length album Disciples of Reason on their own label Exploding Records. On the record they co-operated with producer Kenneth Ishak (Heyerdahl/Beezwax). The reception of the album has been great, and it has been hailed as the norwegian album of year by some critics.

taking a tiny break from road trip photos to post some current junk.
caleb got this small watermelon at the co-op.
he put it on the counter.
a couple of hours later, it started to spew out this foam.
funny, eh?
the dude at the co-op said at the end of the season, they start to turn.
the gas then bursts out, causing the lovely white substance.
this one obviously had reached its foaming point.
when we cut it, it still smelled okay, but it went straight to compost.
just FYI for melon fans! :)
