You have probably heard of a term "bonding with a doll". It is hard to explain what that means to someone who does not collect. This doll is a good example. Popular sculpt, beautiful giftset doll, still when I got her I could not "bond" with her, she was not special to me. A few years passed and my house got robbed. Thieves were briefly in there, but they had time to visit doll room... One of the dolls on display was this Eugenia, luckily they were not interested in dolls, but made a mess in the room. I found Eugenia on the floor, they stepped on her head by an accident, obviously. Paint on her right eye was scratched. It took quite some time to return it to the previous state (you can still see some scratches though). Good thing her lips were intact, as I would never get that color and shimmer back on her.
So, now, I feel like we established the bond. I do not see just a doll in her, I find her very brave, she is truly a survivor!

Travis Vowinkel, USAG Heidelberg. solid waste manager, explains the Rumbling Rubbish project to U.S. Army Europe Commander, Gen. Carter F. Ham, at the Patrick Henry Village Reuse Center Monday. Ham was touring the Heidelberg military community to find out where he can help improve the quality of life of Soldiers, civlian employees and family members. His morning started with 18 high school students where he heard a different perspective on life in Heidelberg. He also met with family readiness group leaders, visited the Warrior Transition Unit, toured family housing, the PHV CDC, the PHV recycling center and ended his tour at the PHV Plaza, where he learned about the ongoing renovations there. Scan of a slide taken in 1994: I'll try and explain this as briefly as possible. The original Rother Valley Railway, which was the forerunner of the Kent and East Sussex Railway, opened in 1900, the name change occurring in 1904, followed by the 'northern extension' from Tenterden to Headcorn in 1905. The line remained independent following the 1923 Grouping but was nationalised in 1948. Closure was a gradual process between 1954 and 1961, although the line remained open as far as Hodsons Mill until 1969.
A preservation group was active from as early as 1961, but the reality for 'amateurs' operating the K&ESR was the number of level crossings. In particular the level crossing across the busy A21 in Robertsbridge meant the preservation society was forced to concentrate on the Tenterden to Bodiam section, progressively reopening westwards from Tenterden. However, in 1991 an independent group was formed based at Robertsbridge with a view to reopening the Robertsbridge to Bodiam section and thereby meeting up with the preserved K&ESR.
