Kleiwerks International was invited to teach a two-week earthen building workshop with people from eight countries and the local community. This workshop was the first of its kind. We built La Escuelita, a Waldorf Kindergarten in El Bolson, Patagonia, Argentina. BUILDING LEADERSHIP: Jorge Belanko co-teaches with KI for the first time. Jorge was an adobe builder and beekeeper in the Bolson Valley, After this training, he went on to make & & "El Barro, Las Manos, La Casa," the most widely known movie on earthen building in the Spanish-speaking world. Introduction to Service Learning e-term students gained knowledge of the local community surrounding Ferrum College while engaging with and supporting local agencies, organizations, and families. Their first hands-on project with Habitat for Humanity was a modular home that needed remodeling and renovations.

Turtle Island is suffering from the boats bringing tourists, eager to observe the marine wildlife, to the area. Participants must use teamwork, communication and focus to build a bridge to the island in order to preserve the habitat.
