This past weekend I got a message from Expedia inquiring about interviewing me. At first I thought it was about my recent show but when I returned the call it turned out to be about not just my creations but about how I started and why I do it. Before I knew it we were in deep conversation about the Halloween Dog Parade at Tompkins Square Park. When asked what we would dress like this year the thought was dancing in my head about doing something "Game Of Throne" so I blurted that out as a possibility and now it is expected. Talk about putting pressure on myself. Yikes!!! Enjoy the article.

Expedia is an Internet-based travel agency and a part of Expedia, Inc. based in the US with localized sites for 15 countries. It books airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages, and various attractions and services via the World Wide Web and telephone travel agents. The site uses multiple global distribution systems like Amadeus or the Sabre reservation systems for flights and for hotels, Worldspan, and Pegasus, along with their own hotel reservation system for their contracted bulk rate reservations. This last is shared with other Expedia, Inc. sites.

Expedia held a cinema party recently to unveil its multimillion dollar brand campaign for the first time on television and cinema in Australia and NZ.
The 80 guests were given an exclusive preview of the cinema advertisement and watched the blockbuster Iron Man 2 at the Event cinemas at Bondi Junction Westfield.
The Expedia advertising campaign will be shown in cinemas and on national television in Australian and New Zealand throughout May showcasing the redesigned brand logo, and the new Where you book matters tagline.

I found this hotel on Expedia and it got very good reviews on it from tripadvisor.com so I took a chance and stayed here. Most hotels are $200/night and higher in Venice but this one was only $119 per night and it is about a 3 minute walk from the train station from here (for all your tourists that come in on trains).
Bascially all I did was sleep here and watch minimal TV (not too many English stations on their cable) but when you are in Venice you are not here to sit in your room anyway. The front desk people were friendly and there is a nice reception area to relax in the lobby. They do have a free continental breakfast but there is no lunch or dinner. (There are plenty of restaurants around....including 3 down this street)
