DAZZLINGLY ATTRACTIVE bird, not often seen in our corner of Kent UK, and was not expecting to see it in the Grove Ferry Feast Hide, but what a joy when it landed, he caught a couple of tiddlers and was off, leaving me with the biggest grin ever.

I thought it was so funny to see this place in Santorini with the table on the outside of the building so high up....a cool optical illusion! Last Caturday was dinner for one and this Caturday is dinner for two!

Our presence woke her up from a nap.

We shoveled the deck at 10:00 a.m. There was two inches of accumulation. Fifteen inches expected by tomorrow morning. East Calais, Vermont.

Hear what I hear

There you stood on the edge of your feather.....

Thank you very much for 1000 Followers!

I’ve been in SL for 83 Days. Things happen which I didn’t expect and plan at first. Second Life is such an amazing “dream comes true” world!

These 2 and a half months:

♡ I’ve opened my own gallery displaying my photos and even sold some of them!

♡ I’ve met great people in SL, broadening my horizon! And my dear photographer friends invite me to join their art project! Such an honor!

♡ Starting this SL Flickr account let me meet some great photographer friends! Lots of wonderful photos taken by all of you inspire me and motivate me to catch up!

I’ve never attained more than 1000 followers in any social media before. I haven’t thought of I can go this far! I’m very happy and grateful for all your support! Really means a lot to me!

Exploring sims and taking photos in SL is my self-healing or self-meditation process from RL. I’m not a cheerful girl but I would like and always try hard chasing light. So you may find warmth and hope in my photos. This is what I would like to express in my photography.

I really love the two life quotes wall decals sold in my gallery which speak my mind:

★ I’ve learned to stop rushing things that need time to grow.

★ Stronger than Yesterday

I would like to walk at my own comfortable pace in both RL and SL. Just do what I like in SL, not to rush for glory but to feel the sunshine or starlight every day. And I believe things will grow their beautiful way unexpectedly.

Last but not least, be tough and strong no matter how dark the road is. I know I can lift me up to the height I want.

This is one of those moments in which I saw the harvestman and a red dot, but I had no idea what I was seeing until I took the shot(s). Gotta love macro lenses!

When it came to the Moscow Metro, I had a good idea what to expects, but the reality was something else. Spacious, stunning, immacculate and clean hardly covers it. There were very few people, Alla said that was because trains come every 90 seconds. Each station has a unique theme, there are no billboards, I could have spent a day visiting stations and riding the trains; this was railway heaven beyond my wildest dreams.

This shot of Mayakovskaya Metro station. The Moscow metro is a marvel of urban design. Every day, as many as 9 million people use the metro system -- that's more than in New York and London combined. As well as being one of the most efficient and cheapest underground transit systems in the world, the Moscow Metro is also undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. The brainchild of the tsars but finally put into action by Stalin, whose idea to make the city’s metro stations “palaces for the people” has translated into some truly spectacular, subterranean architectural gems. It’s possible to spend an entire day or more travelling the metro and exploring the vast array of ornate stations; each constructed and decorated in its own unique way. There are 215 stations on 14 lines.

i wish all my flickr-friends and their loved people the best of all and a happy new year.

I expect there may be many images of snail shells for this theme, so decided to give my snails a rest this week and photograph my cycad house plant that has just put up a few new leaves - all the tiny 'leaflets' have coiled ends when they first appear that will straighten as the leaf grows. On this particular leaf, one of the little leaflets has grown a bit ahead of the others and shown off the lovely details of its coiled end.

For Macro Mondays theme 'Spiral'.

The image was done as a 5-shot focus stack at f3.5, focusing on the tight coil which was 1cm across.

Some sun beams find the way through the overcast sky at Koh Samui, Thailand! Maybe a tropical storm will be coming soon. The Thai fishermen have moored their boats at the shallow low tide shore.

Nomad seems to have lost the helicopter when he made his way into the sewer system that was below a nearby overpass. It’s time to go. A lead has led him to another city anyway. It’s been a little over a year since he’s seen her, since they took her, since they got away with it. “I’ve got to follow the clues, expose them,” he mumbles.

He tilts his head downward and to the left, looking behind him without turning his head. He counts six on the left, 3 on the right. They’re closing in. Not to cause a scene he starts to ditch in and out of the alleyways. Making his escape slowly and quietly. He notices after some slick maneuvering that he only sees about 3 people in viewing range, though others could be around still. I’m sure they have an communications system in their ear, they all do.

Nomad walks in through the front of a burger-joint and walks out the back door. Two men in the back of the restaurant approach him, one with a gun. He quickly with two quick hand movements removes the weapon from the man on the right and pistol whips the man on the left with it knocking him out. Still holding the hand of the man on the right he pulls him into him as he kicks the man’s shin breaking a bone and sending him to the ground. Another swift kick to the head and both men are unconscious. Nomad walks off briskly looking from side to side. He places the gun in the back of pants expecting the elastic to keep it from falling.

He walks down a backstreet on the side of a pizzeria. Out from behind the building come an agent. Taller than Nomad, more muscular than him as well. He takes a swing at Nomad, Nomad is too quick for him as he bobs and weaves away from his opponent. One swing, one flush connect from Nomad’s left uppercut and the big man goes down, hitting his head on the concrete steps behind him. Blood starts to ooze out the back of the man’s head. “Ha I’m one punch man,” Nomad jokes as he takes off slipping into the night. He doesn’t get captured; he escapes easily.

Nomad starts his journey to the next city. “That was close. Need to end this!”

Here is the robin mother who is tending to the eggs shown a few days ago. Still actively tending to them, so I expect little robins soon!

Never having been on this road and not knowing what to expect, every corner brought new promise of everchanging landscapes.

I expected the Bee eater to be pretty hard to capture. Usually, the more beautiful a bird is, the harder to capture is. That's what I believed until the Bee eaters proved me wrong.

Gestern habe ich einen Ausflug auf den Ohlsdorfer Friedhof in Hamburg gemacht. Engelskulpturen habe ich erwartet, aber dieses süße flauschige Wesen(Uhu)tauchte völlig überraschend auf.

Yesterday I went on a trip to the Ohlsdorf cemetery in Hamburg. I expected angel sculptures, but this cute fluffy creature (eagle owl) appeared completely surprisingly

When she was just a girl she expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in her sleep

Dreamed of paradise

Every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl she expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

And the bullets catch in her teeth

Life goes on, it gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

Every tear a waterfall

In the night the stormy night she'll close her eyes

In the night the stormy night away she'd fly

Dream of paradise

"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails. " - William Arthur Ward

Two days before I took this image, the harbor was full of big chunks of ice floating and packed into the space between the shores. Waves were crashing and the wind was blowing all the ice onto the shore. Then on this day the ice was blown completely out of the harbor and the water was relatively calm. The winds of change can completely create a new mood for the day. Expect the change and then adjust your sails! Have a great weekend.

A photo taken near my campus on my break a while back when we had our first mini snowfall :)

Some bit of snow squalls this morning but it is quite cold. The windchill is certainly a difference maker. We're expecting some more tmw, hopefully I can snap a few if I don't chicken out because of the cold :P

Have a good weekend and

I expect to do some traveling, and I've got a good-sized book to review, so I plan to be off for a few weeks.

God bless you all, at Christmas and all days.

I guess I didn’t expect my next heritage unit to be another black and white ACe with different lettering but it’s nice getting this shot crossed off the list
