"High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation" - Charles Kettering. When a newly joined faculty who is just six months old in the institution ventures for something big like a Management Development Programme (MDP), expectations from the director, colleagues and public is really high. I believe that it is that high expectation which helped me to successfully complete the MDP which was appreciated by all the 35 participants alike. I am greatly in debt to Dr. Babu Joseph (Former Vice Chancellor of Cochin University of Science and Technology) who readily agreed to come for the valedictory ceremony amidst his busy schedule. Being a voracious reader and writer, the wisdom he shared was priceless and it was a real motivation for the upcoming learning and development experts. He said " At this juncture, I would like to appreciate Dr. Manu Melwin Joy for the novelty of the topic (Gamification) that he has chosen for the MDP and the meticulous way in which he has carried out the program which is evident from the feedback of the participant.” Mr Anand Unnikrishnan (Chief Business Consultant, Busa solutions) and Dr. Mary Fatima Cross (Professor, SCMS School of Technology and Management) share their feedback on conduct of the program, the expertise of the resource person and the rich takeaways from the session. My special thanks to Prof. Dr. D. Mavoothu (Director, School of Management Studies, CUSAT) for having trust in me and supporting me during the planning and execution of the program.

This was probably the last "Waterfire" for the season. It was Titled : " "A Celebration of Life at WaterFire"
"WaterFire" is a truly artistic creation and an enjoyable feature of summer in Providence, RI. This is our beautiful State Capitol Building. This dome is one of only 4 unsupported MARBLE domes in the world. Tonight it's usual white lighting was changed to PINK, in honor of the Celebration of Life presented by The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Sadly this photo, taken at 12:10 AM is not good, but the cause IS. As a cancer survivor, I proudly show one picture , in support of what can and must be done.
CANCER will (must) be cured. We were not given the intelligence to put man on the moon yet can not find the cure. It just does not "compute" The CURE WILL BE FOUND.
