In 'The Expanded Canvas', the boundaries between the traditional canvas and a fully immersive environment are dissolved, transforming the static into the dynamic, the contained into the unbounded. The maze-like corridors, adorned with bold, geometric patterns and cryptic symbols, encourage a deep exploration of spatial relationships and the very essence of abstraction.
At the heart of this installation is the performer, whose body becomes both canvas and brush, blending seamlessly with the environment. Movements are deliberate, primal, and raw. Each movement and crawl, each touch and trace, explores the notion of gesture as both theatre and as emotive marks on skin and wall.
A walk to our favourite coffee place in Thakeham. The lambs weren't playing ball today, and ran away from us on the neighbouring path.
"Run away" is a family phrase used in many circumstances.

Tissington Village - Derbyshire Dales. Feb 2024
A perfect picture book village with beautiful cottages built around a noble old hall, fine church and duck pond. Home of the FitzHerbert family for over 400 years and it is their splendid Jacobean residence at the Hall. There is no pub in the village. Tissington is known to be one of the prettiest villages in the Peak District. The population "Tissington and Lea Hall" at the 2011 census was 159.
The Tissington Trail for walkers, cyclists and horse riders passes by the village, where there is parking and a picnic site. The Limestone Way footpath goes through Tissington and there are good routes all around for ramblers. The trail is 13 miles in total and should take an average walker 2.5 hours with stops along the way.

Write-up on The Brothers Brick.
I see this hawk quite frequently on my walks with the dog. In doing some research I read that Hawks are spiritual messengers symbolizing freedom, representing great vision and decisiveness. Seeing hawks all the time means you are getting a flow of ideas like a hawk does while it is flying on the wind. A hawk sighting symbolizes a creative being and means that the time has come to spread your wings, to fly higher, and to expand your vision!
A good omen for the New Year!

After finishing work on the old Lehigh & Hudson River Railroad, a Middletown & New Jersey local plies through CP Hall, which now sports new signals. Home terminal at Campbell Hall, NY is just a few hundred yards away and the train must negotiate New Jersey Transit's Port Jervis line to get there. M&NJ also works west of Campbell Hall. Since the beginning of the year, they now serve local customers between there and Port Jervis, including the ex New York, Ontario & Western track in Middletown, connecting with the original M&NJ.
On looking at this expanded on my phone I think this guy has been caught short or maybe it was having to look at me made him wet himself. Then again it could have been one of my funny sayings. I did think about deleting it and taking that bit out but couldn't be bothered. Sorry folks.

Walking to pick up our car from its service took us through a village not far from where we live and one I thought I knew quite well. Clearly I don't know it as well as I thought, as I've never seen this old water pump in the heart of the village before.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells. --To Autumn. by John Keats
