We have these exotic passionfruit in our garden but one thing I can't understand is...why are they in season in winter? They should be in season in summer when the sun can ripen them...we're lucky if we get to eat 3 or 4 because they don't ripen and are on the vine so long, they end up falling to the ground!

I finally have my complete range of favorites potatoes. The long awaited truly pink-fleshed cultivar made its debut on the Australian scene in 2014 under the name of "Red Foo". Until then we had pink-fleshed spuds with very pale pink flesh. So pale that the pink had disappeared after a short cooking period. All those will retain their colour once cooked.
In the center is 'Dargo Goldfield', in the bottom a small 'Purple Congo', then clockwise 'Dutch Cream, 'RedFoo', 'Midnight Pearl', 'Dutch Cream', 'Red Foo', 'Nichola', and 'Sapphire'.

And this one is the star of the show. The almost light blue coloured cactus is native to South America and is very rare indeed. The owners informed us that it was worth several lakhs (a lakh is an Indian term for one hundred thousand, so one million is called ten lakhs in India). Due to this, this light blue cactus is kept securely locked inside a green house. (May 2009)

I think it's cool to start off with this image for my upload after a long break. It has been heck of holidays for me and family, as I'd take it as a big event year after year when it comes to Eid holidays like this.
Exotic as it seems for this flower, but nothing compared to the memory that flashed at the back of my mind every time seeing it. In those years in my childhood, I'd see a lot of this as I strolled along with friends at the periphery of the village just like other kids of my age would. Perhaps.... we were seeing many beautiful things back then that we tend to take it for granted. Just like this one, little did I notice how beautiful it was when I was a kid until I have a camera in hands as an adult and start shooting it.
It is less exotic in its name as people in our area would just call the vine tree that bears flowers like this as "pohon ulat bulu".

My ex used to write classified ads for a living. One day she told me the story of a coworker who had received an ad for a six-ton crane.
The ad ran the next day under "Exotic Pets".

Ingredientes:
- 90 cc Pisco Capel Doble Destilado Reservado Transparente
- 3 Rodajas de naranjas partidas cada una en 4
- Limón de pica
- 20 cc Jarabe de goma
- Hielo Frappé
- Play, Soda o Ginger Ale
Preparación:
1º Paso:
Aplastar la naranja con el jarabe de goma y dejar macerar.
2º Paso:
Agregar a un vaso hielo frappé y completar con pisco.
3º Paso:
Terminar con Play, Soda o Ginger Ale.
