Skinner is more than just an artist who paints psychodellic images of metal band mayhem, he is an event, a personality, a one-stop-shop of the super rad. It is within this personality that we begin to understand Skinner's work, and the detail, time, and focus he puts into everything he produces. We sat down with the artist to talk about his new show at The Shooting Gallery entitled "The Fragile Art of Existence" which explores a new place in the Skinner's body of work.

How can you tame someone who never was untamed?

How can you set her free when she wants not to be?

She is a walking contradiction and

she is my succinct art.

Will the Carney Liberals replace torn down historic statues, and will they replace the many historic churches that were burnt to the ground by arson since the Trudeau Liberals last formed their Government in 2019, and will they be initiating security measures to protect against these crimes and this kind of hate ?

Unfortunately, after proudly standing for 88 years as the main attraction in Cornwallis Park this iconic landmark, artifact and treasured piece of history was suddenly ordered taken down by the Mayor and then hidden from public view ?

Cornwallis Statue

Approx 7 years ago, a democratic elected HRM Mayor and Council took a hastily called very quick private vote ? The vote was taken behind closed doors in a City Hall back room in a surprise, unannounced and very private meeting that had excluded citizens of Halifax ? And then, less than 24 hours following this hastily called highly important vote, a crew of city outside workers armed with hand tools and cutting torches was seen frantically speeding in bucket truck vehicles towards Cornwallis Park as they desperately clutched onto their official work orders signed by Mayor Savage instructing them to immediately and without prejudice rip down an iconic Statue that had stood proudly as the most beloved and admired monument in the City up until now, and had always been steadfastly protected, preserved and meticulously maintained by the good citizens of Halifax every day for the last 88 years ? It was also ordered that once this grand Old Testament to Haligonian history was freed of its ancient rusted support bolts and brackets and was no longer secured to its longtime weathered stone pedestal, that the fallen relic must then be completely covered and loaded onto a nearby waiting city flatbed garbage truck for transport to an unknown location where it is to be kept hidden away from all public view ?

Lunenburg NS - Now even the name Queen is deemed inappropriate ? Due to complaining, Lunenburg recently changed the name of Cornwallis Street to Queen Street. Queen was first choice in a town survey taken to select a new street name. But then the town received another complaint from the local anti-racism committee to say they are extremely disappointed by a democratic decision that will only replace one colonial street name (Cornwallis) with another, (Queen ) ?

These fine ladies want prison sentences handed down to individuals who dare to be themselves and to think differently from them calling anyone with a different opinion from theirs a denier or hater ?

No one can deny the existence of residential schools. And so why are an infinitesimal tiny minority like Leah Gazan (NDP), Lindsay Mathyssen (NDP), Nahanni Fontaine (NDP) and Kimberley Murray (Liberal Government investigator) so dissatisfied and why are they trying to force their own radical ego-driven personal viewpoint based on unproven allegations on everyone else ? Why do they want you to think the same way that they think, believe in the same way that they believe, and be forced by law into accepting their individual self-centred and self-serving narrative, (that they get paid to expound) as being Gods' truth, and if you dare resist them you are then to be called a hater and a denier and a criminal that could be sent to jail for up to life in prison under the law enshrined in their new Bill C-63 or C-9 ?
